Leaguewide STH Rankings (SB Nation)

http://www.silversevensens.com/2014/...d-the-league-a

Granted, while a list like this is always going to be somewhat subjective, it's still disheartening to see another category in which we are ranked dead last. I have long since given up my season tickets, but I seem to remember there being an event mid-season where STH's could meet the team at the Coliseum (only two players in each of the 200's sections, and by the time you got to the front of the line, the event was over). I think they had free or discounted food as well. With no special perks, why in the world would anyone continue to be a STH given the advent of sites like Stub Hub?

what a joke. as if the $<10 tickets on stubhub werent enough reason not to get seasons tickets, being ranked worst for sth perks makes it pretty obvious.

Like I have stated before, Wang has no reason to support the Isles. He makes more money on family nights and special events at the coliseum. He is a business man, not an owner of a hockey franchise.

People just keep giving their money away.

As a hockey fan, he is missing the boat on me. Time to bring in the russian billionaire, (so f'in bad) that will bring in the professionals and get hockey fans in, and cheap family fun days out.

How many STH's (full plan) do the Isles have this year? Any way to find out?

5,000 season ticket holders, from Yormarks mouth, don't remember where the article was published. He also said 70% already renewed or agreed to renew at Barclays

Would love to see that article...because that renewal quote is so far from the truth it is laughable.

maybe 5000 total plans, but not full plans?

Can you imagine having to go to every home game? Good god.

I have a half-season plan, and last week when the Islanders contacted me to sniff around to see if I was planning on renewing, I said that I did intend to come back (because I'm a schmuck) on a half-season plan.

I said the one thing I wanted to be guaranteed was that I would get the final game at the Coli in that half season plan...and my rep told me they couldn't guarantee that at this point, and if I wanted that guarantee, I should go on a full season plan.

I told them to call me back when they could guarantee it, because they managed to take me from "You've got a guaranteed ticketholder for $3500 to see your garbage team for one more season" to "I'm out" in under five minutes.

Isles attendance is going to be atrocious next year, at least in the first 2/3rds of the season, towards the end I am sure attendance is going to pick up because everyone is going to want to see the Coliseum for one last time

The reason you are seeing all of those cheap tickets on Stubhub is because brokers bought season tickets and ticket plans thinking they can make money on the Islanders after the playoffs last year and the Stadium Series game which you had the first option to buy with seasons and a plan, now all of those people are not going to renew, and those 4,000+ tickets that were available for pretty much every game is going to be drastically reduced and I am sure you won't be seeing those games where you can get in for $5, unless the Islanders are funneling their tickets on Stubhub to get people in the building which I have heard some teams do

Tickets have been like that for years on Stubhub.

For all the whining about going to BC, the Isles fans will still show up - atleast on the weekends. It will be interesting to see how the Isles schedule gets altered when they move to BC (days and times).

Final season at NVMC? Ambivalence or not? Really, depends on the offseason as usual.

tickets were never as cheap as they are now, and there were never literately 4,000+ tickets for every game like there was during this year

Sparky is toast once the Isles go to Brooklyn. Count on it.

He represents Wang and the teams desire to market to kids - because good paying adults don't go. So, they market it to the kids/parents.

For those of you who made the two year commitment of season tickets last year it looks like you'll have free parking for the entire 2014-2015 season.
