TSN said that Montreal is 21-1-1 when Pacioretty scores! Wow!

Guess that would mean we have Crosby Ovie and Stamkos on our first line

5th in goals, 1st in GWGs.

I think he'd be 3rd in Goals per game ratio behind Steen and Ovie.

Playing a whole year on this line I think he could get pretty damn close to 50.

Helluva player.

Well, it just goes to show what Pacioretty is capable of when you give him a talented line mate.

Are club's able to offer a bonus to players? Max at (what is it 4.5 million) is a bit of a steal.

Can they offer a bonus off the books, say if he reaches 40 goals.

I won a jersey at Christmas from my company, been thinking for a while which name I should go with, I already have Price, Markov and Subban. Been hesitating between Max and the 2 Gally's. I think i'm going to go with Patches

So that means that Pacioretty tries to score only when he sees that were winning huh? Trade that selfish bum...

I seriously can't think of a better value in hockey than Patches. Actually feel almost bad that he's only making $4.5MM for the next 5 years. He deserves more and will get it on his next contract.
Keep it going Patches!

Chara.

In the 2011 POs, the Bruins would never have passed the Habs in 7 games had Chara not deliberately driven Max's head and neck into that post. (That's the truth, sorry)

The Bruins won 3 OT victories in that Hab/Bruin 2011 series.

Max Pacioretty in the lineup would have made all the difference in Montreal's favour. No doubt about it.

This is a guy who scored his 1st NHL goal on his 1st shot.

Pacioretty, Subban, Price... a fantastic core picked by Timmins.

Not bad for a guy who is not a "true" goal scorer (Leafs fans told me this).

Only 1 goal behind the man, the myth, the legend, the god, Phil Kessel.. despite playing ~10 games less.

It really is an incredible deal. He knew he was leaving money on the table and signed a cap friendly deal. Barely anyone does that. Hopefully we can win the cup while he's on this contract and take advantage of it. He will get a massive raise when this is up.

I don't know if that's true.

He fired his agent earlier this season.

Players don't leave money on the table like that. Unless they have already made a crap ton and/or are trying to help a contender stay competitive. It was Pacioretty's first big contract and we haven't been a contender at all.

Hell, habs have unused cap room.. so if he did it to help... he must be pretty mad at himself.

he just puts puck in the net, and is learning to try and play like vanek (east to west). He really is the whole package. great pick-up by Timmins.

It's exciting to be a habs fan right now. to think we got vanek for only collberg and a 2nd. wow.

we got more for craig rivet

You guys may think he has the POTENTIAL to be a 35/35 player but until today he hasn't shown it.
I guess potential has become actuality.

Patches also had a life-threatening injury early in his NHL career. It is possible he simply wanted a low-risk deal instead of gambling on staying healthy for long. Of course, this is all before it was discovered he was Wolverine.
