Oh well we got a point, St. Louis isn't exactly playing that great since the Olympic break so we need & can pull out a win there on Tuesday night.

Anyone have any idea why Vinny was taking the original 5 on 3 faceoff instead of Giroux?

Also, what was Bergeron's faceoff numbers?

We out played boston for the most part and got a big time goal at the very end. Not to mention an important point against a better team. Rask was great today. Sucks we lost in the shootout but this may be our best loss of the season. Flyers played fine

Rask officially gets 49 saves. From what I can see, these are the other higher or equal totals against the Flyers in regular season games:

Most Saves By an Opponent
  • Billy Smith --55 (19-21-15) NY Isles 3 at Phila 5 November 22, 1972
  • Michel Larocque --52 (20-19-13) Toronto 1 at Phila 7 April 4, 1982
  • Wade Dubielewicz--51 (10-22-14-5) Phila 4 at NY Isl. 3 (SO) March 29, 2008
  • Tim Thomas --51 (13-19-16-3) Phila 4 at Boston 3 (OT) March 1, 2007
  • Nikolai Khabibulin --51 (11-21-19) Phoenix 1 at Phila 4 January 28, 1997
  • Doug Favell --51 (18-17-16) Colorado 3 at Phila 4 December 19, 1976
  • Ron Low --51 (14-24-13) Washing 2 at Phila 11 April 1, 1976
  • Ken Wregget -- 49 (10-24-15) Phila 4 at Toronto 7 February 13, 1988
  • Ken Lockett --49 (20-14-15) Vancouver 1 at Phila 6 February 5, 1976

I could be wrong but I think this is tied for the most saves by a goalie in a Flyers' loss. Maybe that will be confirmed eventually.

I wouldnt mind shootouts if they extended OT to 10 minutes.

Bergeron was 16 for 31. 12 out of 21 against Giroux.

Notably Adam Hall was perfect in the circle, 5 for 5. Three against Krejci and one each against Bergeron and Kelly.

The Flyers beat the Bruins in the face off department, but it seemed like Boston won all the important ones

This has become my expectation with Schenn.

Today was 1 of only 11 games this year that Bergeron ended as a minus player. Crazy.

I missed the game, but I am stoked they grabbed 1 point against the best team currently in the NHL, any video of Roo's SO goal?

Yeah, felt like more.

Giroux had 52% (15-29), Vinny 66% (8-12) - 3-4 against Bergeron.
And Hall was a perfect 5-5, 1 against Bergeron, 3 against Krejci.

To be fair to Jake, this is what he had when he made the decision to go five hole:

Most goaltenders, when they go to the pokecheck, leave their fivehole totally exposed. Rask is one of the few goalies in the league with the flexibility and style of play to go to a pokecheck and recover into the full split.

I thought Voracek had a hell of a game, and I couldn't believe people were ripping on him at the end of the third. I think some people just can't handle losing without having something or someone to blame. Flyers overall put up one hell of a fight against the B's, controlling the game for a majority of it.

Rask was great, man. Mason played solid but that third goal was brutal

Is McGinn with Couts and Raffl? I love the guy, but he isn't the same since his injury.

Looking at the Vinny goal that tied it up, he ALMOST didn't score.
