The guy behind me at the game had these two nuggets of information:

"We need to get rid of that Couterier kid for whatever they can get, he is so lazy."

and about Rask.

"...I mean, that Boston goalie isnt a very good goalie anyway..."

I'm really really starting to establish Flyers as my "East Team" if one could say so. Been watching these games and I'm starting to have a mancrush on Giroux and a healthy amount of respect on Simmonds. When Minnesota gets paired up against St. Louis and is manhandled out of the playoffs in a 4-0 overrun, I'm going to bandwagon the **** out of Flyers.

It's terrific that we were able to salvage an all important point here.

Those fans are the best, aren't they?

I had one earlier in the year say something similar about Coots. Don't remember exactly what he said though. What's worse is I believe he was a season ticket holder too. You would think season ticket holders would have some knowledge about the game and the players.

Yea the Couturier things at games I always here. I think the BEST one I heard was this 19 yr old couple trying to start a "We want Bryz back" chant during the middle of a 1-1 game. I thought they were joking but throughout the whole game they kept talking about him Mason blows and Bryz was such an amazing goalie.

While ordinary men dab Kleenex in spit for their shave cuts, Kimmo Timonen uses Diesel fuel as motivation to the rest of the team.

Pretty awesome game.

Ugly third goal allowed by Mase, but he made some big saves. I'm happy with Vinny back at centre; that 4th line had another great game. Voracek had a great game, too, but really dropped the ball in the shootout... had Rask beat and tried to go five-hole... D'oh!

This team can beat anyone and these twelve games of death have proven that. Tough week, but I'm a little more optimistic about it after today. Hopefully they carry the intensity forward.

As great as Vinny's quick and great opener and last minute closers were... and Voracek's two great set-ups were... I wouldn't argue much if Kimmo were to be given a Star of the Game... But it would have been hard to deny either Vinny with his Goals, 9 shots and 3 hits, or Rask with his 49 saves -- The guy who chose Tweeted that he told them to give the winner the #1... thinking it would be in OT rather than SO -- I don't think the SO clincher should just be handed the Top Star when Kimmo was so key, and Voracek had such a great game too.

We were afraid Kimmo was out for a good while in MSG... as so often is the case... but he just keeps on ticking... 'Beast' is the perfect word for him.

True, but I'd think more along those lines if the Flyers weren't obviously the better team today. Rask was amazing. It happens.

I had a feeling after Vinny's goal in the first that he was going to turn it on.

52 shots! Holy cow.

Impressive against a defensive team like the Bruins.

I was at the Blues game and this guy 2 rows back constantly yelled, "C'mon MacDonald." Usually followed up with, "Do something."

The great part - he even yelled it when MacDonald wasn't on the ice.

The more games I attend, the more I notice how clueless many fans are.

Sorry, been out with the family all day. Caught the first, was entertaining. I also saw Kimmo bless us with a mighty goal.

As for that picture, wow. Whatever bled all over Timonen really got busted open badly after colliding with his indestructible chin.

True story, Kimmo once faced down a charging rhinoceros. It hit him in the chin and not only did it die, but the impact sent a tremor through the species that left them endangered.

Haha! I don't even know... I think I almost feel sorry for him due to how miss informed he actually is. He doesn't realise how much of an ass he's making of himself

great game to take the kids to. Outplayed boston and probably deserved to win but the comeback was awesome.

As good as mase was he was also brutal on the 3rd (and maybe the 2nd) goal.

Oh, and what a **** call leading to that pp

There's no ****ing chance I could keep my mouth shut. The Carter hatred by the fanbase was misguided enough, there is absolutely no justification for hating Couturier.

I guess he doesn't make enough open ice hits for the mouth-breathers to appreciate.

Great game. Shame it had to end in a skills competition. Philly is probably the last team I want the Bruins to match up against in the playoffs. It is always a tough matchup.

I saw someone mention McGinn getting injured and not being the same after. What happened to him?
