One thing is sure. We will surely lose at least 2 Habs prospects in this 2nd round. Halifax (Fucale) vs Gatineau (Reway) and Baie-Comeau (Grégoire, Hudon) vs Rouyn-Noranda (Nevins)
Or on the bright side, we will have at least 2 Habs prospects in the 3rd round.

Of the remaining 8 teams , who are the ones that have the best chance (not the one you hope to )to go to the Mem Cup?

Well the obvious answers would be Baie-Comeau and Halifax. The team that needs to be watched is....Rimouski.

I think a lot of people are realizing just how strong the West division was this year. All of the teams from that division who made the playoffs passed onto the 2nd round.

Baie-Comeau and Rimouski are up there for sure, I like Halifax too, but the fact that they played in a terrible division buffed their regular season stats.

I think Val-D'or could do some damage. It's not all Mantha over there. The kid line (St-Amant - Richard - Aubé-Kubel) is very dangerous and good on both sides of the ice.

Bibeau has been terrific as well after a rough start. I wouldn't sell Val d'Or short. Like you said, it's not just Mantha. They have one of the best PK in the league, good offensive depth as well. In the first series, the depth lines were more noticeable than the big line and it's not that the big line did nothing. Graves has helped the backend a lot as well. They play a strong puck posession game. Nothing against Habs prospects playing for Gatineau and just the Olympiques in general and how good they always are in the playoffs. An Halifax vs. Val d'Or series would be so much fun to watch. As you pointed out, the western division was so strong this year. Even if they finished 3rd, they had to go though tougher competition.

I was surprised Quebec lost until I saw Duclair and Erne didn't play.

According to Mathias Brunet, Mac Bennett was playing hurt for the last month of the season...

Pretty sure he's injured and the Bulldogs are stacked on defense.

It buffed their stats for sure but they are up there. I agree with Val D'Or too.

I learned a long time ago to never bet against Hull in the playoffs. Reway was amazing in the first round, and Groulx can outcoach the whole league lol

London will be missing Bell, Austin and Stolarz for Guelph series. Welychka going back to the point - Marner takes his place with Smith and McCarron.

Marner is a heck of a rookie. Hockey sense is off the charts. If they gel the line will be fine, but Marner plays a much different game than Wely.
London's in real tough to advance.
