Plus the deal for Coburn! Waddel is not even talking cup, his primary concern is just making the playoffs! He's gone out and stripped away 1 prospect and 2 1st round picks plus a 2nd & a 3rd.
yeah he basically morgaged that teams future in all the hopes of stopping their sinking ship and make the playoffs. Just like the Canucks, I do not think the moves made by Atlanta will put them over the top..

At first glance I think the Flyers made out in that deal. No clue why the Wings would do that.

The Flyers now have ALOT of talented, young d-men that could play next season: Pikanen, Parent, Colburn, Picard, Kukkonen, and Jussi Kimonen

You can not tell me that we can't get something of value for Rachunek, Malik, Nylander, Ward. The prices are mind boggling.

it must be. Because I doubt he really wants Kimmo's lesser brother Jussi who is Flyer property anyways.

Pitkanen, Picard, Parent, Coburn, Kukkonen, Bartulis, Jonsson, Timonen, Guenin, Bodrov...

Gauthier and Hatcher is still with us and Jones will probably be gone

In one season Flyers re-build d-sive core.

ain't that the story for the last... umm however long its been since they had hextall. nitti is good but he hasn't had a full healthy A+ season. i think if philly can ride two goalies evenly throughout the season, than nitti can have a strong PO run.

Flyers need to address this last issue. Maybe via UFA or trade. Anfortunatley Nitty is inconsistent this season and he was injured, IMO he deserves a contract and he proved he can play behind strong d-sive team in Olympics.

I think I am gonna take a sick day too. But I am actually sick.

Does anyone know if the TSN Trade Center special is available online anywhere?

Edit: it is, on TSN Broadband

Biron would make a good backup here in my opinion although I wouldn't give up that much for someone who will be a UFA

Just go to NHL.com. NHL Network is supplementing TSN's coverage. It's great.
