That would be insanity. The fact that Pac has 4 games to score two goals to get to 40 is already crazy but imagine him breaking forty next game and having a chance at an even better plateau (not 50 obviously, i just mean that 43 looks so much better than 40) Even if he doesn't score at all for the remaining games he's still blown me away.

I do think he'll snipe one in this game

4-2 Habs

Pacioretty
Vanek
Gallagher
Emelin

Nyquist
Datsyuk

Gustavsson will be starting for Detroit tonight.

Alfredsson replaced Andersson in the line-up last night.

They'll make a decision later as to whether to play Datsyuk in back-to-back games.

Babcock mentioned on PTS that Datsyuk tells him whether or not he is ready to play centre, and that usually he plays the wing for a bit until he is comfortable and feeling 'right'.

Not gonna happen unless the game is meaningless. Therrien has had a lot of chances to do it. Hundreds of games. But Bouillon and Diaz hit the curb first. Even DD couldn't escape.

Wings fan here just gonna chime in a bit..

Datsyuk played center last night against Buffalo, he went 10-2 on faceoffs. He did looka bit out of game shape though and thats partially why hes on that line. But listing Helm Datsyuk Alfie as the third line isnt exactly true. The wings roll on the top 3 lines really evenly.

I would say Datsyuks is the first on paper but some nights the young kids take over and look by far the best out there and others they look like rookies and barely get played

Anyone know the line up changes for tonight? I know Price is in goal but is someone like Bouillon being rested after back to back games? Markov took a shot off his foot, maybe he rests a bit....

The Canadian media (TSN, CBC) is so biased against us heros. Yesterday they were talking about a "collapse" instead of a comeback. Today, here's their headline : "Thomas Vanek (Photo: Richard Wolowicz/Getty Images)

The Detroit Red Wings have picked an excellent time to match their longest winning streak of the season. The club hopes to further solidify its playoff chances with a fifth straight win in tonight's road test against the Montreal Canadiens, who already clinched a playoff spot and are currently second in the Atlantic Division."

Semantics don't lie.

So you want 2 rookies in the lineup on defense at the same time? We're bad enough as it is without handicapping ourselves even worse.

Without Murray and Gorges, Bouillon is the only extra veteran we have so he'll likely have to take another 2 games before any other options are available.

Speaking of which, anyone know the latest time table for Gorges?

I do. The best line up to ice includes Tinordi and Beaulieu. Bouillon is waiver parts.

Yes I do. As other posters pointed out, our other bottom pair D also make mistakes. At least Beaulieu makes up for it with talent, and Tinordi with mobility and size.
