Stoll

Sorry I don't mean to troll... What is the time table for Stoll's return? Thanks

I would believe, with the Oilers not likely to make the playoffs, the he will probably be shut down for the year.

Certainly wouldn't hurt him.

I hope they keep him out. No need to rush him back at this point.

I agree, give him that extra time to get healthy and make sure, as much as they can, that this doesn't become a re-accuring problem.

Thanks for the help. I trade for him in my fantasy league a game before his concussion and was trying to decide what to do.

Hopefully he is back to what he is capable of sometimes next year. The Oilers getting Ryan O'Marra makes me worried more for Stoll.

Wow, I'm speechless...and that doesn't happen too often.

O'Marra won't be half of what Stoll is to this franchise. Ever.

I'm not sure about that, check out Stoll's past numbers in the CHL, IMO they are similar players who know the game and have a tonne of work ethic.

I'm with xauxi, O'Marra looks like Stoll v2.0. They play very similar games. Although O'Marra has better natural speed. So either we have plans for the best checking line in the league, or Stoll is hurt worse then we know.

Although they did say he is on the bike and exercising now. And any improvement is good.

But you are correct Ti-girl in that O'Marra has a long way to go before he becomes a Stoll. A very long way.

They're similar players, although I think O'Marra is more Ethan Moreau in style of play.

Funny thing about Stoll, a lot of fans had him pegged as a 3rd liner at best coming out of junior too, and his AHL totals never were great.

IMO it'd be wrong to pigeonhole O'Marra before his pro career even begins. Personally, I'm a lot more hopeful about this kid than Nilsson.

98-99 Kootenay 13-21-34 in 57 games
99-00 Kootenay 37-38-75 in 71 games (Draft year)
00-01 Kootenay 40-66-106 in 62 games
01-02 Kootenay 32-34-66 in 47 games (Draft year, part deux)

now for O'Marra

03-04 Erie 16-16-32 in 63 games
04-05 Erie 25-38-63 in 64 games (Draft year)
05-06 Erie 27-50-77 in 61 games
06-07 Erie/Saginaw 21-18-39 in 39 games

I'm gonna say Stoll blows him out of the water here.
