As good as they are, they're still rookie.

Unless you want us to pick McDavid or Eichel at the 2015 draft... I don't see it happening.

Two at a time is more likely to happen.

Habs

Tinordi
Nygren (only because he doesn't want to play in Hamilton... Beaulieu is probably the best option)

Dogs
Beaulieu
Pateryn
Ellis
Dietz
Thrower
Bennett

Unless you send 2 of them to the ECHL, you have 6 young/rookie Dman. This is why I think 1 or 2 of them will be traded this summer...

It makes no sense to have that many good prospects if you can't develop all of them properly.
I'm totally fine with rookies on defence.

didn't the Rags have a D corps that was really young a few years ago when they had that half decent playoff run?

I htink we've done a good job of phasing in Tinordi and Beaulieu over the past two years where they wouldn't quite be 'rookies'. Still I'd at least bring back Weaver.

I think we're gonna deal one of Pateryn or Nygren. Maybe even NB but only if we could get a young forward with comparable talent I'd hope.

Would like to see Nygren come back or at least give him one more year in Euro then bring him over after some other rookies make the jump. Soon we may have to look at trading some of our D for forwards if the bottleneck gets to severe.

With the additions of Vail, Crisp and Sorkin I see guys like Owens, Czarnik (ECHL level) not playing thats actually a good news for our farm.

@2nd intermission: Dogs up 3-1, Dumont, Blunden and Andrighetto each with a goal and an assist.

Andrighetto is a ****ing stud. Love what I see. Hope he leads the team in points and goals at the end of the season.

This kid has intriguing upside! Wow! 42 points in his rookie season playing on an offensively challenged team!

I know Morgan Ellis has played many less games than other players on the Bulldogs, but his plus minus is still the highest on the team at +8. I know Pateryn was in the teens, but since then he has dropped to a +3 rating.

Ellis has solid potential as a 5/6/7 dman IMO. Josh Gorges 2.0.

yeah i noticed that his +/- was really good for the Dogs. Even when he had that small scoring spurt earlier in the year those points he had looked like he had some solid offensive potential.

He might just take a bit longer which is fine. Nice that he looks like he's still relevant.

He also started off in the dog house for the habs and the dogs. Wasn't invited to the habs camp, then started as a healthy scratch for the dogs.

I probably missed it, but Fournier has been sent to Wheeling.

I thought Ellis was injured before camp. And then he couldn't get onto the roster when he was ready. Not having had a training camp, they couldn't find a spot for him.

I saw that about Fournier yesterday. I figured Wheeling could use the extra help going into the playoffs and Hamilton could use the extra room for Vail, Crisp et al.

Yeah, a lot of these AHL guys don't do a whit of research on other teams' players. You get a description of half the game, in effect.
