Probably a good idea. Poile talked about Vishnevksi getting some more ice time tonight, so perhaps..

We really want Hammer playing, especially tonight. Sharks PP is lethal.

Yes they did play on the same line, according to Thornton.

“We played on the same line for a year (in Boston),” said Joe Thornton. “He’s a good character. Great speed, great shot, he’s just a good team player so he’s a perfect fit for our team. He’s so fast, he can play with anyone.”

You can read the whole article here if you're interested. Should be a good game. Even though we lost against the Ducks on Monday, we played a darn good game. Bryzy saved it for them with 40 saves. However, the Preds are damn good at capitolizing on D mistakes so it still could go either way.

Should be a good game!

GO SHARKS!

kind of sucks that we'll be lacking two of our top goal scorers, but on the same token in years past that would have meant we were done for. How happy would we have all been in years past to have two of our top goal scorers out and still have kariya, forsberg, dumont, arnott, and radulov playing? Our depth is incredible!

Anyway, go preds! I'm going to try to stay awake and watch the game.

In a way, I'd much rather quarantine him away from the team. Flu spreads like crazy and can have a major impact on a team (like we saw earlier this year).

as predicted. 7 d-men to dress. darcy and sully to sit.

guerin to play, but i don't think rivet has clear immigration yet(coming from Mtl).

maybe we should have hammer cough on them a lot.

see where trotz now says he's going with 7 d-men and 11 forwards tonight and that hamhuis will now dress..

i actually like it when we do this because of the depth of our top three lines... simply means our best forwards get a couple more shifts of ice time, always a good thing when you're playing tough teams..

would expect the scratches to be hordichuk and sully.. meaning we probably see something like this to start out;

kariya-forsberg-erat (still makes me shake my head to type this)
dumont-arnott-radulov (probably with some of the 4th liners replaing rads some shifts)
fiddler-legwand-tootoo (poor legwand, a point a game on this line and he's up for a big raise)
nichol- xxx -smithson (both the primary pk'ers and shifting in for fids, toots and rads)

with 7 dmen, but two banged up ones(hanhuis/timonen) means we see shifting d pairings.. how he tries to get them paired against their top two units will be interesting..

....what we really need is the pp to catch fire tonight.. it's time, if it's ever going to happen.. and no time is better than right now on this road trip..

...on the road our pp% is now down to an awful 12.8%, 25th best in the NHL.. an unbelievably bad stat for a team with the raw talent we have.. looking at this stat this late in the season would make anyone wonder how in the world we're 19-13 on the road... the answer being we've been great 5 on 5 on the road, and we're one of only 5 teams in the league that has a better road pk% than home pk% (85.3% on the road, 85% at home)

i cann't wait.. but it's a mighty nervous cann't wait, because this will be an awfully tough one to steal a win in.

Nashville catches a big break: Scott Hannan is out, and Craig Rivet will not play. SJ is shorthanded on D. I expect a high scoring game.

you're out hannan and a guy that's yet to play for you,

we're out our TWO leading goal-scorers in Sullivan and Hartnell.

Who caught what break?

the break that we didn't have to face hannan, rivet, toskala AND guiren all on the same team tonight. unlike 2 days ago when none of them were against the ducks.

at least they are down 2 d-men like we are down 2 forwards. and thank god we don't rely on 1 or 2 guys to score.

Preds definitely caught the break. Losing to top 2-men, and Toskala is worth more than losing your two leading goal scorers. Especially when you have some guy named Forsberg in your lineup.

Ok, you've convinced me. The Predators are going to kick major a## tonight.

I thought they would anyway, but now I'm sure of it.

What about Legwand to 2nd line

Move Arnott to wing, Arnott, Legwand , Dumont would be an awesome 2nd line or First line as much as I would like to see Radulov get a shot again, Trotz must know what he is doing with Radulov but he needs to get more powerplay (or some) to get going.

it's not the offense that worries trotz about rads game, it's the defense. barry is concerned that he will give up more than he gains with rads on the ice. thus he is relegated to 3rd line and limited time. the SO is a perfect place for him, but like vokoun the only way to get better is to play through it. he is trying to mold him into something other than a sniper.
