Fighting will be eliminated from NHL in a few years. No sense to stack up bullies, enforcers or whatever. Once you take violence away, there is practically nothing left the most of the tough guys could offer. I am all for NA players like Sid Crosby. Could we get those?
This post doesn't even deserve a response sorry man. Firstly you state something which is so absurd it's ridiculous. The rest is just silly from there. Bullies, enforcers, whatever? How about....tough guys...intimidators...who cares what you call them....the bottom line is that they will always have a role
NY's problem aren't European problems.
It's lack of offensive depth and an average D. When Rozsival's your best D pretty much all season long, as good as he's playing, he's a #4 defenseman on a Cup team, no more.
NJ had a strong European influence when they were winning Cups (Sykora, Elias, Mogilny, Brylin, Holik, Nemchinov, Malakhov, etc...), Detroit had the Russian invasion going, etc etc etc...
Face it boys, stereotype days are over... No more Soft, Skilled European, Big, Tough, Hard-working North American... It's over. Both types of players grow up on both continents.
