YoungStars Game Question

http://www.nhl.com/onthefly/scoreboa...s/ES040154.HTM

Did the icetimes by whoever did the stats gets messed up. It has Semenov having the most icetimes from both teams, excluding the goalies and Torres only at 2:45. I'm confused.

Torres definitely had more icetime than that.. Semenov did seem to be out there quite a bit though. Zherdev never seemed to leave the ice!

I was very impressed by Sauve, he's got a slick glove hand.

We sure could use someone like him in our system.

Both Semenov and Torres acquitted themselves well, though I think Semi looked a bit tight out there. I was hoping he would let one rip from the slot, but he would dish off whenever he came into position.

I tell ya, I'd be tempted to trade Hemsky straight up for Staal. He's going to be one wicked center.

Semenov was the only player who was playing defence...

Yeah, I was meaning from the offensive side of things...defensively, he was the best player on the ice using his huge reach to break up plays.

For an 18 year old, Bergeron is an absolute talent out there - so poised and confident. Amazing to me. Great setup for Staal's first goal.

You could tell that this was right up Zherdev's alley. He was on the ice and seemed to love every minute of it. He is extremely shifty in tight areas and got around more than his fair share of players. Lombardi had no puck luck tonight... Geez, a lot of breakaways and open nets... and either he misses the net or Raycroft stones him.

Torres looked okay out there... Semenov did look a little uncomfortable. He tried to jump into the play at times (the Zherdev goal for example) but more often than not he stayed behind while dmen like Erhoff jumped up. He was out there against a lot of 2 on 1s. Someone had to stay behind to play defense for the West, right? He was really chugging when trying to stop the Staal breakaway and the 3 on none with Trent Hunter; he has such a long smooth stride in the open ice.

Likewise.. after watching Staal play, my first thought was "dang, that's exactly what the Oilers need.. a big, talented, young centerman". I think he's going to become a star in this league in the Joe Thornton mold with possibly a bit less offensive upside.. I've really liked what I've seen from him the few times I've witnessed him play. Unfortunately, I'm positive Carolina feels the same way..

Those are some really weird icetime stats. Look at the shift charts, and there are a lot of times where it was 3 on 3 according to the stats.

Yeah, I noticed that too. He was always the only guy back in front of his own net.
