Goalie:

Bottom sweat layer
Top sweat layer
Jock/box
Pants
Skates
Right pad before left pad
Chesty
Jersey
Glove
Mask
Blocker

I've noticed that those who put their skates on before pants are the "bigger" guys who can't bend down to tie their skates with their pants already on

Well, I'm not the biggest, but certainly not a small guy.

When I started playing I was putting on pants first, and tying my skates was a bit uncomfortable, but not impossible. Then I injured my tailbone and tying my skates with pants on became very painful, so I tried putting them on second. Once I was recovered from my injury, I just kept doing it because it's easier.

Probably true. I wear a large in both player and goalie pants. Would try XL and should probably be in one at my size, but it'd probably reach down past my knees. Oh well.

Should spice it up and swap the helmet and mouth guard, but I don't want to get crazy.

I knew a guy who had just started playing... He wasn't quite familiar with what equipment you were supposed to buy, so he ended up getting spandex jock shorts with the cup inside, and another sports jock. He wore both while he played for about a year. We finally noticed one day and called him out on it. He still gets ripped on to this day (don't worry, he laughs about it too)

Sweats
Jock/Garter
Shin/Knee Pads
Socks (clipped to garters)
Sock tape
Skates (I'm a pads in/tounge out guy)

(Stop at that for a bit, chewing the fat and laying on a bit of locker room banter.........)

Pants (suspenders only, no belt)
Shoulders
Elbows
Tape some foil to my knuckles ("putting on the foil coach, every game" )
Jersey
Helmet
Gloves

Nah, its usually us guys who need a bigger cup in their jock, you know, to offer more coverage? When you pack more heat you have to account for it impeding certain movements.

Obviously not an issue for everyone eh?

Jock- Socks - warm up

Shin Pads, Socks, Skates, Pants, Shoulders, Elbows, Jerseys, Helmets, Glove.

More than I like to admit, I usually have to redo it all because I forgot to put on my jock strap lol

I play inline hockey so it's a non contact sport and it's recreational so it's not neccesary to wear many pads.

So I start off with:
Inline hockey pants
Jersey
Socks
Shin guards
Skates
Elbow Pads
Helmet
Gloves
