Trading Yandle for anything that isn't a massive over payment would be a terrible move for the Coyotes.

Would make sense for the Islanders to trade for him. They need mobility from the blue line; someone to get the puck up to Tavares and play the point on the power play. They could offer their first pick in the 2014 draft, which should be 4th overall, and an A prospect like maybe C/LW Anders Lee, and a B prospect like Defenceman A. Pelech. Phoenix would pick M. Dal Colle or L. Draisaitl with the pick.

NYI would be stupid to do that, trade a lottery pick for a defender that has 2 years left on his contract, and is 27 years old? Are you going to contend with the pickup? I doubt it... You'd have to be a lock playoff team that goes beyond the first round regularly within the next two years, in order to have a chance at keeping Yandle. It's possible but I'd personally go with the cost controlled youngster with 7 years of team control.

Nah... Continue to build through the draft.

I dont think you could. Most teams wouldn't give up a 22yo core player for a 27 yo one, even if it is Yandle.

Pretty much unless PHO ever decided they want to go into rebuild mode.

Is that assuming they are giving buf next years 1st? So a team that needs to rebuild gives away 2 top 5 picks?

Why do the Jets need to move assets that could be used to actually address area's of need, to add another RHD to the roster?

Well, Yandle is an LHD...so yeah. :-)

That being said, I don't think there's a fit between the Jets and Yotes involving Yandle.

The Flyers aren't going to trade for a better version of Streit. They need a two-way guy who can defend against top lines and kill penalties.

Sorry, for some reason I had him in my mind as a RHD.

Agree with your second point, there really is not fit with the Jets IMO.

Never in a million years would the Yotes trade *both* their assistant captains within the division.

easily disagree. Yandle is very expendable for the right price, doesn't need to be a "massive over payment" .. just needs to be the correct value and anything over is a bonus

He's a team leader and has been wearing an A for four years now.

He signed a long-term deal with the team when they were ownerless, showing a commitment to the franchise during uncertain times.

He hasn't missed a game in five years.

He's only 27 years old.

I'd just keep him. Why trade such a player?
Easily expendable, folks.

A team devoid of offensive talent trading its leading scorer over the past 2 seasons, the 2nd highest scoring defenseman in the entire league since 2010-2011, an alternate captain who's likely to succeed Doan...yeah, we're kinda entitled to hold out for maximum value should we contemplate moving Yandle. He's by no means "easily expendable."

The expectation of course would be that with Yandle in the line up; Tavares healthy and the youngsters, like Nelson, Strome, Reinhart, DeHaan making an impact, the 2015 pick owed to Buffalo would not be Top 5

What about Spezza for Yandle?
Sens need to be looking for better puck movement outside of Karlsson and it seems to me Phoenix could use high end offence from the #1 center position.

I like the idea but I think it would have to be a bigger deal involving Hanzal. Sens add Cowen/Gryba+3rd?

Spezza
Cowen/Gryba
3rd

Hanzal
Yandle

There is literally no reason at all to trade either one of Yandle or Hanzal for a year of Jason Spezza. I'd move neither player for him. You want both?

We already have Mike Ribeiro who has NOBODY to pass to and has put up garbage numbers as a result. Jason Spezza is just adding one more of the same problem.
