You know what, though? After the Brodeur antics with Avery and Jagr and now this, I'm done with *****ing about getting jobbed. I might as well learn to accept it being a Rangers fan.

I certainly have tried (and failed) at accepting it being a Giants fan.

I'll just never be able to not be infuriated with reffing like this.

clicked on the box score of every game the Rangers have played so far.
About 2/3 down the page it says Referees. I just looked for Craig Spada and then tailed it up.

10/7 vs. Philly: 5-4 (SO)
10/14 vs. Buffalo: 4-7
11/11 vs. Washington: 1-3
12/12 vs. Philly: 3-1
12/19 vs. NY Islanders: 3-4
2/3 vs. Tampa Bay: 2-3
3/1 vs. Pittsburgh: 3-4 (SO)

Technically, he doesn't have a right to collide with our player (Fleury DID certainly initiate the contact). That's what I meant by that, SBOB. Sorry for the lack of clarity. He certainly should've been called for interference.

it was a bad call for sure, but what really ticks me off about the reffing in this game was the sheer number of picks the Pens ran this game. Id wager there were at least 8 illegal picks that werent called. That, to me, is the easiest call in the game to make. In fact im fairly sure on 1 pick the Rangers were actually called for the penalty (a trip i think).

Disgraceful.

Welcome to the Gary Bettman NHL, where the small market and financially struggling teams get all the help they need. The big market teams? "Ah, they'll always make money, so let them fend for themselves" is the Buttman mantra. This is why the NHL cable contract is with a channel no one even knows exists.

I'm seriously contemplating taking a leave of absence from this team for a while.

I can't really take stuff like this too often. Man alive. It just infuriates me.

It's just not fair to the fans of the game to constantly see their team jobbed night after night. I mean, I'm trying my hardest to NOT whine about this... But it's frankly just not fair.

Check the GDT. The most BLATANT one, IMO, happened right after the non icing call (which I did agree with) on the next rush.

inferno you are completely right about this. Pittsburgh picked us all night long and it's disgusting it wasn't called. Terrible refereing tonight and Spada cost us the game. Craig Spada is a complete joke as a referee and that's all im going to say about him.

its annoying because calling picks should be the easiest call, its a whole body getting in the way of a person defending against the person with the puck. so its not a simply tug, or whatever, its a WHOLE BODY and it happens where the play is taking place. I dont get how there werent at least a half dozen calls against them for it. i really and truly dont get it.

It's been ridiculous for years against us. Unfortunatley, it doesn't help that our teams have also sucked for years.

My biggest gripe tonight (Besides the horrendously horrible Betts penalty that decided the game) was the CONSTANT pick plays that Pittsburgh was getting away with. That is their entire game, that is how they control the puck down low for so long, constant constant picks. Gary Roberts being the biggest culprit tonight.

A tape needs to be sent to the league to stop the Penguins from cheating like that.

I cant believe you guys are crying about that. He ran fleury over. You guys didnt show up for the third. A good 40 doesnt win you the game though. Better luck next time.

Pittsburgh would get away with murder simply because Sid the Kid is on the team.

Look at the penalties for the game. Even tsn announcers said at least 2 times NY got away with too many men on the ice. As well as the crosby crosscheck. Yet they are biased toward the rags? You guys are just upset your season is slipping away. I would too tbh but the ref excuse gets a bit tired.

Besides... the Rangers just have the history of being a penalty taking team.

Thats a tough rap to shake. More so than ever when you have a player with a history of diving on the team (Avery).

But this ref must really hate you guys.
