Smyth 1st point

Smyth had an assist on Sillingers goal on the pp just 10 minutes into his debut as an Islander.

I do not recognize any points scored by Smytty in that ridiculous smock. Hence, they are not real.

He sure did. On the PP. Coming back into the Blues zone near the tail end of the PP. Smyth skated in, Sillinger caught up. D tried to slide and stop Smyth from making a pass but Smyth got the pass off, Sillinger made a nice move and score. Atta boy Smyth!

Made up for the fact he almost biffed it in the pre game warmup.

Well he is +1 with a PP assist. Bergeron just scored and Smyth should have had an assist for putting the net back on its moorings during play so Bergerons goal counted

And Smytty put the net back on its moorings in time before the goal went in. FSN announcers saying "He does it all" LOL

2-0 isles bergeron with the goal

kinda a weird goal, the net comes of the moorings, smytty grabs it and puts it back in place before the puck crossed the line

not sure if thats allowed?

Anybody else get the feeling that the Isles fans/commentators/etc think that Smyth WANTED to be there? It's like they think he decided to go there...Not that they're ALL like that, but I get that kind of vibe.

All I am getting is that everybody is very excited to have him on that team.. They were saying how excited MAB was and so was his "buddy Sillinger" from the Team Canada days. He's being treated like a messiah there right now, the whole freaking game.

Smytty doesn't get an assist on the 2nd Isles goal...

but he did put the net back on the mouring before the ref could blow the whistle and call the play dead and allows Bergy to get his 1st as an Islander

Anything to win on Smytty's part....I'll miss that aspect on this team, no question

Anyone else realize that a former Oiler figured in on every goal this game?
