Well, needless to say that was not worthy of a game report tonight. I'm not sure there'll be another one this season if they keep this up unless some of our young guys do something to write home about. This is just stupid.

a loss against phx on a dark day is understandable, but the not getting up for this one tonight is shameful. you are supposed to be professionals oilers, get your heads out of your collective hoops. Thanks for nothing tonight, idiots.

One of the reporters just asked what Thoreson was doing on the PP when he hasn't scored in 45 games.

Hilarious.

You know it's pretty bad when we are talking that MAP MIGHT have hit the post. That's a hilite?

Can this organization stick its heads up their butts any further...?????????

Never thought I'd admit that the Oilers have become the laughing stocks of the league, witness the smug smirk on Gretzky's face during the tribute that the current Oilers' management ruined for the Moose. Now that demonstrated a new Lowewater Marc in strategic planning.

Then that TSN Media cut-away to the podium backdrop falling down for Lowe's big trade DEADLINE fade, that final culmination of a series of small collective goofs. And Kevin laying Lowe to avoid facing the music. Character & courage on displayed there.

We of the rodent record, always just squeaking into the playoffs or rat-packing-it off to some topical hide-away tee box to perfect that biennial backswing so boys 0n the bust yet again can enjoy being turfed-out early.

The Lowedown/MacTired Oilers' era has had players behaving badly in undiscipline and mentally idiotic ways for to long now. Year after year of dumb retaliatory overreaction after playing that "prevent from winning" scared defensive style of over-coached half-step behind shinny. What's wrong with playing an aggressively proactive hardnosed mode of "in your face" real contact, finish your checks always, earn your Million$, accountable hockey.

My negativity will stop now for this year, but I firmly believe only a complete and clean sweep out of the hockey operations Management & Coaching staffs will right the current scuttled Oilers' shipwreck.

Signing Smytty to that deal would have left us mediocre forever and we would ALWAYS be just sneaking into the playoffs. That cash will get us a superstar like it should. You can't win without heart and guts like Smytty has but you need a gamebreaker and a guy to build around first and foremost. Smytty is nowhere even close to that. Oiler fans need to think with their heads not their hearts. Kevin Lowe did the right thing.

OK. Let me try to clear things up here. When I first saw the mask the pink threw me off. Bad choice of words on my part & I apologize for that. I am definitely NOT a homophobe - I'm a chick with a history of breast cancer (& other cancers) in my own family & I take part in the fundraising marathon every year to raise money for research. I give him props for the mask & for raising awareness & $.

My apologies to anyone I offended.

I think 90% of us knew what you were talking about LMO. There's always a few here that are waiting for a slip by some of us, to jump on you like a pack of Hyenas. I know for myself anyways that you never meant anything derogitory against breast cancer.

You want true bleakness you should have been a Canuck fan in the mid and late
80's (or many other times for that matter). You guys haven't started plumbing those depths -ever.

You mean back in the days of Tony Tanti and Petri Skriko?

I was living down on Gabriola Island back then, I remember those days well, even a line from an old Canucks radio ad that never left me:

"Move over Mr. G (for Gretzky I assume), hello Mr. T!"

(To be fair, Tanti was a pretty decent scorer back in the day...one of those weird cases where a young guy hits the NHL with a splash in his early 20's, only to fall off the face of the earth after the age of 25. A bit of a head scratcher, that one.)

Does that match losing your star, beloved player, captain Canada, in February, in edmonton, where the sun don't ever shine for working folk for months, where theres been deep snow cover since friggin october

your in lotusland. how bad can it get

ps we were spoon fed that nucks team on ITV up to the time the oil made it into the NHL. Scary costume memories

Without a healthy Stoll and Moreau we are going to be an expansion team for the rest of the season.

Minnesota and Calgary are going to look at the games against us as chances to pad their stats. I suspect it will take a few more humiliating losses before the coaches change the philosophy.

I wonder how many we will lose... im gonna say 75%

EDIT: I should start doing all the GDT's since I am 0 for 2... We will have a top 3 pick in NO time

Ride this elevator down to a top ten draft pick.

This team is a soft, finesse team with no finish.

How long until they're mathmatically eliminated??

My heart can't take much more of this, and it would be a lot easier knowing they're out, but could play spoiler by messing with the teams that are in.
