I didn't know Burokowsky was Sidney Crosby.

Good player but he's on a stacked OHL team...

I would do it. Though Garrison won't waive.

Edler won't/shouldn't be moved whe his value is at the lowest it's been in the last few seasons or likely the lowest it'll be for the next few seasons. Of course, it's the perfect time for someone to try to "buy low" on him.

With the recent articles about relationships between GMGM and agents i highly doubt Edler would waive to come here. From what i've thought Edler has liked his time in Vancouver but maybe this could have some legs if McPhee is let go this summer, and possibly Vancouver retaining Tortorella.

Then again the main piece coming back would most likely be Johansson or Brouwer that either can be expendable but i'm not sure Vancouver will like that too much. Top-15 pick or Burakovsky are not something i would give up in deal for Edler.

Green for Garrison would be a great deal but again there is no way Garrison waives his NTC.

I'd think real hard about the proposal if it was Chris Tanev, not Edler.

Not to take anything away from Burakovsky, but we're well aware that he spent a considerable portion of the season on McDavid's wing, especially in the months following the Gaunce trade. His most regular linemates have been some combo of Strome, Curtis and McDavid. Yes the lines have been juggled, but don't be disingenuous and act like he's played with scrubs all season.

That would be like me saying Gaunce has played with Wood and Wigle all season, when in reality, he spent a lot of time in between Fox and Brown.

Burakovsky didn't play with McDavid a whole lot. Strome yes, he played a lot with him. I'm not saying he didn't play with McDavid (who had somewhat an uneven year), but that it didn't affect his stat line drastically.

I think Caps 1st is off the table. It's a Plan B if we can't get back to being relevant in 1-2 years.

And I'd rather trade Green than Orlov. Edler-Orlov is a fine second pairing.

Strome, Curtis and McDavid were, from what I saw, his most common even strength linemates this season.

On the powerplay, he consistently played with some of Fox, Brown, McDavid, Gaunce and Pelech, depending on the unit. This makes sense, he's a top offensive producer, he should play in top offensive situations. He's an excellent player, and it's not minimizing his good season to say he also played with good players. But there's not point in saying he played with scrubs... a quick game by game check shows quite clearly that a ton of his points involved at least one of the other top producers on the Otters.

I really like most of the things you post Pigskin, and this is no different. His value has gone up because he has shown tremendous skating and shooting ability this year, very excited for his future. Agree about all those other moves and that Wilson needs to be moved up.

As for this talk of Burakovsky being aided by McDavid.

"He's such a great player," McDavid said. "He's hard on the forecheck, he's hard on the backcheck. As a centerman it's always easy. You just give him the puck anywhere and it's going to go in the net."
