Hello HF Pens Board!

Just thought I'd drop in here and introduce myself... it seems like the proper thing to do.

After spending numerous hours (days/weeks/years) at work killing time reading these boards I figured it's about time I jump in and contribute. Hopefully I can be half as insightful, witty and helpful as most of you are and can find some nice Penguins/hockey talk.

Little bit about me (probably not all that important, but what the heck):

Texas born, Pittsburgh raised. Pens fan since I was a wee lad in the 80's, but never really learned the game of hockey until middle school. Self taught (dek) hockey player... have tried my hand at ice but realized skating isn't my strong suit.

That's it for my introduction... hope I can contribute to what seems to be a fun and knowledgeable board. See you out there.

Welcome aboard. Glad you went from lurking to posting. Always good to have more Pen's contributors on the boards.

Hello Everyone. Can't say I'm a long time lurker. A couple of weeks isn't lurking is it? I live in the deep south so hockey talk is hard to come by as you can imagine. Looking forward to talking about the Pens and hockey in general.

Hello. Short time lurker. Enjoying the different views on the boards.
Originally from Ohio....a long long time ago. Currently living in Las Vegas for almost 10 years.
Long time Penguins, Steelers, Pirates fan. Also following the Blue Jackets while Mike McKenna has been called up. Hoping that Shero trades Letang before his nonsensical contract kicks in and hope Despres manages to stay on the team.
Hope to contribute in some way, even small, to the boards.

I was here a year ago and then stopped going on because i quit playing nhl lol

i actually like this board. it is pretty even keel for the most part.

'bout me

grew up in northern Virginia, went to W&J and played varsity baseball for two years before an elbow injury. Graduated in 2010. Play pick up ice hockey at times.

Interned at (then) FSN as an upcoming senior in 2009 when the Penguins won the cup. Im lightly involved in Pittsburgh media. Announce high school hockey and football occasionally. Trying to get into finance blah blah blah.

Grew up a Pens fan in virginia. I'd like to say a lot of people hated my team but most people in DC didn't care about hockey, even when the caps were good in the 90s. Love the Pens….love hockey.

'Ello guys!

Big time hockey fan of two teams. Favourite player is Sidney Crosby!

Brain is too bungled to come up with anything else. You'll get to know me when I post on the rest of the forum.

Hello, I'm a hockey fan, and Pittsburgh is my hometown/favorite team. A few opinions I have about the Pens:

Crosby is the best player in the NHL by far with no one else really close.

I really like James Neal, but he can be selfish with how, and when he takes penalties. Same goes for Malkin to an extent.

Crosby has played his whole career without a quality RW (excluding Hossa)

I like Letang's offensive game, and the extra dimension he brings to the team. Just wished he had better awareness of when to jump into the offense as opposed to play responsible defense.

Rob Scuderi, and Brooks Orpik are absolute garbage at this point of there careers.

Dan Bylsma does not know how to make adjustments, or put together sensible line combinations.

That's all I got for now, excited to talk hockey with you all!

Another long time lurker, finally decided to sign up. Just a chick living in the midwest who loves hockey especially the Pens. Never even been to Pittsburgh just latched on to favorite players (Lemieux, Francis, Coffey) when I was a kid and have loved the team ever since.

Hey guys. I've been lurking for a few months and decided to make an account. Decided to go with the injury theme here. Since I've lived my whole life in SoCal, Beau's pretty special to me. Also, sorry if my avatar is already in use; I can change it if need be. Just wanted to say hi and Let's Go Pens!

I didn't see this thread before, so better late than never I suppose. I shall keep this short, as I do not like typing much.

Hello there fellow Penguin fans, I go by the name Captain Nutjob as you can see. Yes, I do indeed know it's a dumb name, no need to remind me. I've been on HFBoards for about a month now, and as I stated above, I didn't see the thread until now. I can usually be found in the EA Sports NHL forum.

Anyways, I look forward to reading everyone's posts about the Pens.

Hi all and greetings from a German Pens fan! I live near Wolfsburg so my local hockey team are the Grizzly Adams (EHC) but my real "love" goes to the NHL and the Pens and I am very excited for the playoffs. My alarm clock is already turned on for Thursday night (damn time zones )
