Girardi's been good lately. Responsible in his own end, and makes pretty good outlet passes. So far no reason for him to sit.

Forget about nastiness. It is yesterday hockey, man. Like it or not... What I liked about Beuk was that he leaved the impression that he had a ton of time when he got a puck.

Just trade Malik for a mid-low pick, or even a prospect, I'm sure teams would take a little interest in him. He has got to go, don't want to see him in the lineup. keep Girardi and Pock in the lineup.

Girardi has looked solid, BTW Rozival and Rachunek had good games last night.

There was an article saying that the Islanders wanted the Rangers to waive him, so Garth Snow could claim him, but the Rangers refused..... Somethin like that......

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble including my own, but Malik is coming back within the next two weeks. Which can only mean Girardi or Pock sits. I believe it will be Pock because Girardi is more steady on defense and I don't think Renney actually likes offensive defensemen. Sorry to make anyone depressed but we can't forget about Renney's ***** for Malik.

Makes good outlets, and alot of safe plays. He's been exactly what you'd want in a 6th dman. You don't want to notice him that much. I don't see any reason to take him out of the lineup, he's done nothing to cost this team when he's been out there.
I agree..Good comparison.

It's amazing how someone can simply make the basic plays and not look out of place in this league.

I agree, I've been happy with what Girardi has offered the team in his limited time here. I think he's looked better overall than the two most recent youngsters to try out on the NYR backline, Pock and Kondratiev, although I think Pock has the potential to be a more impactful player

He does not look terrible out there. That said, most of his D partners can look terrible at any given moment so I think this is why he is standing out to us. We did the right thing here by signing him. He was under absolutely NO pressure since no one outside the Rangers was expecting anything from him. Wish it could be that way for more prospects as well. Not being under any microscope did this guy a world of good.

Girardi has looked solid if unspectacular. To me his one glaring weakness that needs to improve is his strength. I don't expect him to be a scoring defenseman, but I think he can become a very solid and effective stay at home guy and crease clearer, which is really whats been lacking on this defense along with a puck mover of consistency!

he's certainly secured a spot on the team.

he's been very solid. Always makes that first pass and keeps his game simple.

He's played much better than I thought he would, I'm real happy for the guy.

Time for a Wolf*Pack jersey, and I might go with Girardi because he is THE MAN. Anywhere to get a customized 'Pack jersey?

The play he made on Sid the Kid last night was great, when he stopped him in the corner, took the puck, and made an outlet pass to Ortmeyer off the boards.

He keeps it simple, he can only keep getting better from here on out!\
With tutyin out Renney should Really play Pock & Giradi Together, Pock can move the puck and lead a rush, I can see it now Giradi makes the outlet pass to Pock who leads it up the ice!

16 games played and he's been even or a plus in all but one game. He plays a very sound positional game. If you watched him last night he was barking our orders in his own zone when pitt was pressing and keep us pinned in. He is a throw back. He uses his stick well and positions himself to maintain the inside track. I though he played well against Crosby which says a lot.

Not bad for a undrafted player. Imagine if we had a scouting staff!

Anyone else worried that Girardi will decrease our chances of seeing a defensive prospect with more potential in the near future?
