Only figures, Brodz is set to play his 82nd game of the season, and he's out with a minor body injury lol.

Nah, better play a team who just lost 2 in a row than one who just won against the first team in the west.

The Wild were 4th in the Central and 8th in the West at Thanksgiving. They'll finish 4th in the central and 7th in the west.

Nino at center? Oh well, this game doesn't matter much anyway, so whatever.

So Pominville ended with 30 goals and 30 assists, for 60 points total this season. That is a really pleasing stat line to look at.

Also considering his linemates changed quite frequently this season due to injuries and whatnot, it's very nice to see that he remained fairly consistent.

I really wanted to see Parise and Koivu play full seasons though as their PPG was even higher than Pommer's PPG. Both could've possibly hit the 70 point mark if not for their injuries.

@NHLJensen: Ryan Suter logged 2,411:54 of ice time this season for #MNWild. Most in single season since Brian Leetch (2,449:19) in 1998-99.

The guy was playing injured all year and his injury from last year was still nagging. I'd question the medical staff.

It's not like he is the most injury prone goalie in the league, either. We've seen worse.

So he basically was on the ice for an entire work week

My original post was regarding the Wild's Defensive future defensive corps adds how it would play out in the future.

It looks as if Suter is being a little overworked as he seems tired in the playoffs. We have a top 3 I can trust in Suter Brodin and Scandella but Spurgeon seems like a wild card. He scares me whenever he has the puck or is playing a rush for that matter. Would it be conceivable for Duba to come up next year and be a top 4 defenseman or woul thy be rushing him a little bit?

Will Spurgeon develop enough in the ffaeason to become more consistent and be a solid top 4 defender, or do we need to go out and sign somebody in free agency?

Spurgeon is IMO a great #5, and a decent #4 defenseman. Ideally, I'd like to see Stoner-Spurgeon as our bottom pair with Spurgie getting PP minutes as well.

For next season, I'd go with the following (assuming there are no FA signings):

Suter-Brodin
Scandella-Folin
Stoner-Spurgeon

IMO, Dumba needs at least a year in the AHL. Give him a few callups to see where he's at.

That looks good to me, although I'd maybe prefer seeing Folin taking on that 2nd pairing position after proving himself on the bottom pairing first. Give him a month or two on the 3rd pairing and transition him to the 2nd pairing if he impresses. I really want to see what the kid brings to training camp.

Also agreed on Dumba. Give him at least one full season in the AHL to season himself on the pro game. No need to rush more youth to an already very young blueline.

Chara, Weber and Keith are the Norris finalists per NHL.com.

Suter should be in there.

Since he is not, i hope Weber wins it.

No way should Weber have gotten the nod over Suter. Think Keith wins it no matter what so not that it matters...

No way? That's a little far. A case to be made, definitely.

Suter is like Lidstrom without the offensive ability, which is what will hold him back. Honestly, I think Karlsson is underrated without the nomination. I would probably give it to Keith, best balance of driving play, offensive production, and going against top players. Chara is #2 for me.
