Medical School - Here I come!

Well guys, yesterday I was formally accepted into the Osteopathic medical school at Virginia Tech. This is probably one of the most exciting periods of my life as I have worked hard throughout college to make this dream into a reality. The only downside to this is that I will be in Blacksburg, Virginia, and the Predators are in Nashville, Tennessee. Still, I am super-excited, and as a group of fans that I have come to know over the years, I thought I would share my excitement with you!

Awesome news man. Congrats on all your hard work paying off and guess what: you get even MORE hard work for the hard work you've done until now

What exactly is osteopathic medicine anyways?

There are two fields of medicine: Allopathic and Osteopathic. Both schools essentially do the same things. Osteopathic physicians tend to be more focused on primary care and a holistic (heal the whole body) approach than most allopathic physicians (and yes that is a generalization). Just about the only bit of schooling that differs between the two is that Osteopathic physicians learn what they term "manipulative techniques" in addition to the normal regimen involved in medical training. These techniques are another method they use in determining illness. It is for these reasons that I chose Osteopathic over Allopathic, that and I wanted to go to Virginia Tech .

I was just browsing through the boards, but I saw this and wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!

I'm also going to medical school next year, so I know what a huge accomplishment this is. Congrats again, and good luck next year!

Congrats!

You could always watch the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL...I know they're in Virginia.

Good Luck Enoch.
You are gonna be amazed what you are going to learn in the next 8 years or so.

The one piece of advice I can give you is to recommend treatment and care for each and every patient of yours as if they were your own family member......if you do that each and every time, you will always make the right decision.

Awesome job. "I'm studying to become a doctor", is a great line to use on chicks.

The closest hockey to VA tech would either be the Richmond Renegades or the Knoxville Ice Bears of the SPHL

EDIT: Congrats Enoch!
