Very nice Habaneros. I loved the floating 32 right above the floor.

Dale Weise. Glad we have a hall of famer winning the game tonight.

Congrats on the win guys. Loved to see Weise with the game winner, was always a fan of his game on the Nucks and would have preferred we kept him. Real barnburner tonight good to see you guys pull it off.

Good luck rest of the way. Series looks like it could be a good one.

Huge props to Weise. He just brings so much energy no matter what line he plays.

Hoping he can be this year's Umberger.

Nah, Umberger didn't win the Cup. Hoping he can be this year's Patrick Kane.

I like the comparison to a younger Moen. He's got such speed for a guy his size. Decent hands, too.

I won't lie, when MB acquired him, my reaction was wtf? But he's exactly the type of guy you need in the playoffs.

He really did. When you work that hard, even a shot right into the goalie's crest has a chance of going in some nights. Seriously, he couldn't have hit any closer to the Lightning bolt in the middle of Lindback's jersey (Gionta style), but it's all about being in the right place to make the play if you want any lucky bounces/rolls.

But... but.. Diaz didn't get a chance here! We are playing Murray AND Boullion when we could of been playing Diaz!

Liking or hating Dale Weiss, now that he's here, shouldn't have anything to do with the fact that we gave up more than he was worth to get him. Obviously people are willing to let the ends justify the means for now.

Diaz was worth more than Dale mother****ing Weise? Maybe in a beauty pageant.

Average defensemen are generally worth more than 4th line grinders, yes.

But Weise is happy to be here, scored an extremely important goal, and has played well, so it is hard to complain. With Moen and Prust unable to stay healthy, he has proven to be valuable.

On the other hand our blueline has become a weakness, and I don't think it would be any different with or without Raphael Diaz.

Diaz sucked here and he sucked in Vancouver and he sucks as a Ranger Gio still thanking him for that penalty shot game winner
If you don't believe me watch the NYR Philly series...
If he even plays.

Average Dmen are worth an average return, nothing more. Weise is an average player that fills a void on this team. But if you want to make a case for Sir Lancelot being anything more than a soft 7th dman, that's your right.

having high end bottom 6ers is the secret to real success.

MB saw a situation where he could get a player that we really needed and get rid of a player we had an abundance of.

Slight overpayment? Yeah but only if Diaz regains his form of last year pre-concussion.

When you 'overpay' to get something you need and give up something you don't then it's really not an overpayment imo.

Weise is more important to this team than Diaz is. End of story. Great trade.

Agree. Weise filled a need for this team and the trade is paying dividends.

Diaz's contract negotiations stalled and he probably would have left at the end of the season.

Anyway, Weiss is yet another Habs fan who hails from a province outside Quebec, show the Habs have a very broad appeal.
