Goal Created by Jessiman with Power in front of the net.

No one on the Rangers does this. Hugh needs a cup of Coffee.

I was going to say that Hugh seems to be taking a page from Avery and Prucha's book. At the beginning of the season the Rangers coaches gave Hugh a DVD with a bunch of Prucha clips on it and basically said "do what you see this guy doing and you will be successful".

haha.. Hugh's 230 lbs might be a little more successful then Prucha's 165. But definitely, i mean the guy looks HUGE out there. So far, he's turning his game around.

Hugh is 6'6" and Prucha is listed at 6' even and weighs a listed 170#. Thats why Hugh with the same attitude can be successful.

Hugh's on the rampage and it is great to see but no way should we bring him up. He needs to show he can be a force consistently not just for a week or two. He's doing something right now finally to save what has been pretty much a forgetable season.

I think that was the not too subtle point the coaches were making.

Basically:"If Prucha can crash the net at 5-9 165lbs you should be able to do it at 6-5 235".

Totally agree. Prove success at one level first. Give Jessiman plenty of time to build confidence in himself. The good thing the whole organization is cautious to fault in this area. Nobody will be rushed. Frustrating cause I know I'd love to see a few guys get a little time with the big club, but good for the long term.

As much as I loves Hugh's holding his own in the AHL, and getting some goals on top of it, all he did was skate into the net, and stand in the crease holding onto the bar when Moore shot him in the foot.

A biiit early to start the talk about calling him up. If HFD were to cut one player today, based on how much they are contributing, Lessard and Jessiman would be about tied.

I read somewhere that Hugh was given a DVD of Shanahan's clips and told him that this is what he should try to play like. No wonder he has been so confused.

anyone have clips of Hugh playing?

in fact, i was wondering if there is any way to get video from the Hartford games? seems like there is a very big lack of media from the AHL..

The problem with being a number one draft choice that's having some problems is that there is no shortage of people trying to give you a little free advice.

Jessiman takes the holding penalty and negates the Wolfpack PP.
