lets get this straight

Biron is not a rental player. He is our goalie. I wish Nitty a quick recovery, but Biron is a big upgrade over our present goalies. He will be resigned. We will not be bringing in Giguere, not gonna happen. We will fix our forward situation, and grab a top notch dman with all of our cap room. There is no if he will resign. I bet they are working with his agent at this very moment. He is not going anywhere. He is the Flyers goalie to finish off this season, and he will be with us next year, and years after that. He wants a chance to be a starter, and he came to the right team. In addition he is a great locker room influence.

pretty common sense, and i fully agree he should be great in the locker room and an upgrade on the ice. best of all he will push Nitty to play harder which we all know he can.

i agree with everything you said...i am likewise getting somewhat annoyed with all of the "what if" and speculation to the contrary of what Biron and Holmgren have both said about wanting to sign a contract. fret not, i suspect that he will have a new contract by next saturday...of course this is all speculation premised upon facts, but is ultimately IMHO

He hasn't proven squat yet. Sure some nice saves but also some weak goals. Nitty does the same. I say ride him towards the end of the year and if his play doesn't improve, let him walk. Otherwise we'll have another Esche on our hands or a Gerber problem like in Ottawa.

Go after Gigeure in the offseason.

the man has 236 career starts... he's already proven himself in this league... also played very well in his 2 starts with us.

Gerber - 127 career starts.
Esche - 163 career starts.
Nitty - 88 career starts.

When Nitty gets above .900 we can talk. Until then...
