It is definitly worth it. I took one a couple months ago when in town and it was very interesting and informative. Just listening to the tour driver/guide talk in his Boston accent for two hours was worth the money.

OK so now my tickets and hotel reservations are done..

Also the game Penguins @ Bruins march 29th 7.00 pm!! WIHOOOOOO. It's been 3 freaking years since I last saw an NHL-game live in an arena (Vancouver)!

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am.

Now, 2 things:

Do you have a few tips on good movies where the plot is supposed to be in Boston (like The Departed or Boondock Saints) ... Why I ask is I want to watch em to think to myself, during the movie, "and I'm going there!" .. weird, I know

And also... Faneuil Hall, what is it? A market?

I'm definitely going to eat at that Oyster House, since I can then say I've eaten at America's oldest restaurant .

When it comes to sports bars or bars owned by previous players. What are there?

I know Bourque has one. What is its name? Does Orr have one perhaps? Or Neely? Or Bucyk?

A good place to eat near TD Garden so we can stroll on to the Arena pretty quickly afterwards?

Hope it's not too many questions..

Thanks in advance.. cheers!!

YEY!

Maybe this is a little tangential, but I'll be moving to Brighton in a couple of weeks. I just wanted to know if there are any pick up games I could get into in the area. I skate once a week down here in Baltimore....and wouldn't mind playing 1-3 nights a week up in Boston. Thanks!

If anyone's interested in buying a few tickets for me at the box office for the 3/22 game, pm me. Trick is they need to be student tickets. I can pay through paypal or mail.

And also, I asked this in another thread, but I can't remember the answer..

The weather.. late March. What's it like, usually?

Of course, I'm not coming for the weather.. but it would be nice to know. Does it rain a lot in Boston?

I may be able to help you here since I'm kind of a movie geek.

Other good movies set / filmed here : Mystic River, Thomas Crown Affair (the original w/ McQueen), The Friends of Eddie Coyle (although I'm not sure this is on dvd).

Ok / bad movies: Good Will Hunting, Blown Away, Next Stop Wonderland (chick flick), Brinks Job, Civil Action, Fever Pitch (ugh)

I was eating at cheap and fast places for the most part. Went to Hooters and the food was terrible but there was good scenery.

You have a little Italy as well? Where in Boston is that?

Btw, according to CNN you will have a spanking hot March day today!!!

http://weather.edition.cnn.com/weath...sp?locCode=BOS

Although it's just a forecast, can someone confirm it tomorrow, by then you'll know how hot/cold it was today (wednesday).

Known as the North End. It is a short walk from the Garden, as well.

Thanks for the weather link

So it wasn't as hot yesterday as CNN.com forecasted? Right?

Any of you remember what the thermometer showed yesterday?

Hey Bruins fans! I'm going to be up in Boston this weekend for the game against the Rangers (don't worry - I don't act like a jackass at road games, I go every year ).

I have some time to kill after the game until I have to get my commuter rail back to Framingham (where I am staying at my aunt's house), so I'm wondering if there are any bars or restaurants across the street from the arena that any of you recommend. Just a place to get a burger and a beer or something. Thanks!
