Detroit. We will have to stick to the same gameplan as against the Bolts.

If we face Boston, we might have to retool a few things. Plus, if we do face Detroit, they will probably be banged up.

I think the mainboard will be blasting us regardless. Still, not over yet.

Detroit. While I think the Habs would have an easier time beating the Bruins (our style and players exploit the weaknesses of the Bruins better than those of the Wings) team health is vital to a deep playoff run and playing 5 to 7 games against the Bruins is not conducive to that at all. As much as I think a Bruins/Habs matchup would be entertaining I think that playing in the finals would be more entertaining!

I'm confident against the Bruins, but I'd like to see us play Detroit just because I've never seen it.

I'd love to play Detroit. It would be like hooking up with your first girlfriend. I can't remember the last time we played them in a series. Plus, as other have said, the health advantages of our team emerging with their testicles intact.

But realistically, I think our Destiny Train is Boston-bound.

Habs have played Boston 32 times and won 24 of those rounds, while the Habs have won just 5 out of 12 meetings against Detroit over the years.

Detroit. Subban will be on a mission against Babcock's team. But that would also be the case against Julien's team, I guess.

Also, kinda tired of the Boston-Montreal series, to be honest. We've shown in the past we can beat them. It's still satisfying, but if we do it too often, it becomes routine.

Tough call... I'd say Detroit because Habs-Bruins happened quite often and, in this playoff format it will happen someday again.

As long as their serie goes to game 7 and they are suitably battered, I'm happy with either!

Obviously Boston. Wings are not going to be an easier opponent if they beat Boston, so by disregarding "whos harder" we would prefer Boston.

I could never get tired of watching shots whistle over Tuukka Rask's left shoulder or trickle between his legs as Chara and Lucic look on with their mouths agape.

Unless Maurice Richard and Gordie How come out of retirement, that is not very relevant.

Thread title says "If we beat the Lightning"... "IF" not simply "Who do you want to face next?"!!

It's like a pool game, the ball that's being played is most important but you can't ignore that you have another ball to hit if you sink it.

If I'm a player or a coach, I only think about the next game. But someone else in the Habs organization needs to prepare for various conjectures. What are the strength and weaknesses of the Bruins and Wings? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the Pens, Rangers, etc... How do we adjust?

I don't think many people believe TB can't get back in this series and beat us.

I see it as a quick series against wings long battle vs b's.

Habs would beat wings in 5.

7 games vs bruins
