Mason said he wasn't ready the day before. hasn't played in a week. hasn't had a full practice with the team.

can you blame Berube?

Mason might have given up some bad goals too. just shut up already.

Yes I agree... Flyers hockey is too stressful when you're a spectator-- I busted a remote for the TV out of frustration over game 1. Kind of an overreaction I know but the Jekyll and Hyde nature of this team is infuriating.

What are the real percentages that the Flyers actually fix the problems this off-season?!?

For people saying you can't win scoring one goal, even though we have had a bunch of comebacks, it is hard playing teams like the Rags down 2 goals. When your **** coach and goalie put you down 2 goals, it's tough to generate offense vs a team that blocks so well and has a world, class goalie.

We played a damn good game and I really would of liked our chances had Mason started

Hell, Emery isn't even at 100%. He can't even move laterally. He's gonna be stuck at like 95% for the rest of his career.

No reason to bring back Mason in that situation unless he was 110%. Right call by Berube.
Then heeter should have dressed.

Mason said himself he was good to go

He's been underwhelming his entire stint here. He excels at nothing and like someone said before me he has a knack for getting garbage goals...but that's about it. He should be moved in the off-season.

It really depresses me to see how much money is locked into Lecavalier, Streit and Macdonald.

That could have been used so much more wisely.

Ugh.

Honestly, I'd rather put in Rosehill over Rinaldo at this point. Rosehill knows what he can and cannot do and so on.

Just like the team, the **** they've been doing all year is inexcusable, one day they can beat the best teams in the NHL next they can't even make a shot on goal, and that forumla won't get you deep into the playoffs.

just plays into the confirmation bias. He's still what, 22? Turning into the next JVR where people just concentrate on the negatives and don't give him credit for what he's doing right.

He had a good game, he was a part of a lot of chances and didn't make any big defensive gaffes. He's one of our best forwards at zone entry, he's great at controlling the puck on the boards, he can actually dish it, and he's been winning a lot of puck battles. One of our faster guys too.

Guy just had his first 20-goal season and has been asked to carry his own line for most of it. He's still got enormous potential in my book and you can see it in the little things he does with the puck.

Honestly, a 50% Mason is comparable to a 110% Heeter. Cal Heeter currently sucks with his level of NHL experience. Sucks hard.

Mason said he wasn't good to go within 48 hours of the game, which I think makes it debatable whether he really, truly was 100% recovered. As I stated, even a little bit of lingering tightness really could've messed with his play.

Completely agree. We played much better than most people are suggesting. A couple of mediocre goals off the bat is tough against a team that collapses around the net with top notch goalie like Rangers. This is a different game if we score first.

Craig Berube gets this team to the playoffs after a 1-7 start and this board wants him fired after falling behind one of the 10 best teams in hockey 2-1 in a best of 7 series.

Maybe you should be fired from posting for awhile. You, and the posters wishing injury on Rangers, give Flyers fans a bad name.

I swear on my life, if I ever see someone argue that Berube isn't a horrible coach or that Emery isn't a horrible goalie I'm going to bash my head in with this laptop.

Look at the ice times, the lineups, the starting goalie, the "accountability", the "discipline", and everything else this idiot, Berube, ****s up.

Look at how slow his movement is, how slow his reaction times, how many weak goals he lets in, how bad with the puck he is, and every other thing Emery ****s up.

Rinaldo has no place on a playoff team. He played like a neutered dog tonight because we can't afford to take his reputation penalties. 7 minutes of a warm body on the ice

Streit and MacDonald are far from the problem. Can't argue with Lecavalier.

Emery played like ****. They did get some good chances but the bounces weren't there. With that said too many individuals tonight doing the heavy lifting.
