In line with the exact injury sustained by Fedor Tyutin last week, an MRI today revealed that Hossa will miss three to four weeks with his left MCL sprain, essentially leaving his teammates to carry on their playoff push without him.

dammit!

This sucks! I am not happy, but at least it's not career threatening or anything. Shanny, Tyutin, and the Big Hoss... three of my favorites!

Maybe I should start liking a player we actually want off the team

This is obviously not great news.

The good news is we have played well through the injuries.

While Tyutin and Hossa our out, we need to hope that Shanahan returns soon...and that Straka gets back into the thick of things.

I still feel we will make the playoffs...all teams are working through injuries this late in the season.

Well if this team gets to the playoffs Hossa & Toots will be back, thankfully.

Seriously. Our luck is phenominally ****** up. I hope Marcel comes back soon and continues to play and maintain the level of play he's demonstrated before the injury.

I have no doubt that Hossa will play as well as ever after he comes back. He is a different player than he was in Montreal or even last season.

Let's take a moment to assess the situation: Marcel Hossa is injured, and his absence will have a negative effect on this team.
We can be thankful for the fact that he is actually a vital component of the Rangers now, whereas this thread two months ago would've been full of rejoicing.
