Just to make sure, the Wild only won Monday because of the Cooke hit, and not because they outshot the Avs by over double and controlled the puck majority of the game right?

I wonder what the main board would come up with if that hit didn't happen but everything else was the same.

Even though we dominated the entire game for 60 minutes it wouldn't matter, there's always something...

Obviously Yeo has learned nothing at all. I bet we see Brodziak for 15+ minutes tonight too. "Give him a chance to respond". It's the playoffs, you don't give away games to make players feel better.
Oh good grief. With Cooke out it's either Broziak or Veilleux that plays so pick your poison. This lineup doesn't give the game away by any stretch.

Veilleux's style of play matches Cooke's the most.

I enjoy the fans that hold us Wild fans personally responsible for Cooke's actions.

Why I stay off the main board when it concerns this kind of crap. Everyone has homer glasses for their team and no one can do any wrong on their team.

After the Cooke hit I will say it makes me ashamed to live in the state of Minnesota and cheer for this team. I shall change my allegiance to appease message board posters on the internet.

Had a dream we lost game 5. Hopefully we got the bad game out of our system in my dream.

He was a decent deadline pickup... but as I said at the deadline... I see him as a roster spot holder until Vanek gets here only.

Never been a big fan of his game and still not. He just doesn't create offense much at all on his own.

4PM and still no word on the length of Cooke's suspension. Wasn't the meeting at like 11 this morning?

Hoping to see a little more out of Pommers and Koivu, not that they've been bad so far, but we can't let our younglings do all of the work!!

I posted this on the Cooke thread on the main boards. I was warned about the main boards. Should have listened...

Ive thought Koivu has looked fantastic. Just need a bit more out of Pommers.

If memory serves me correctly Koivu has been a stalwart regarding puck possession.

To be fair to Pommers... he has been getting chances and has been effective on the forecheck. He almost won it in OT in game 1... off the post though.

The PPG line was dynamite in game 3, but Varlamov stood on his head. That line had so many chances it was crazy! Until Granlund single-handedly sealed the game of course.

Poms needs to bury one of his shots soon but Koivu has been playing great. No complaints on him whatsoever. Moulson has definitely been disappointing not burying his point blank shots. Him and Poms could blow up tomorrow night though!
