Yeah, in spite of losing, the Oil Kings really "busted a nut" all over the tigers. They probably had as many scoring chances as the Tigers did shots. Got a little unlucky with posts.

If both teams play like last night, the OKs should win going away, unless their goalie is god-like again.

I'm I the only one absolutely floored by Dysin Mayo's development.

That kid is soooooo good, and seems to get better every game.

Woot up 2-0. Love how cool and calm Moroz was after getting tripped.

Reffing has been horrendously in favour of the Tigers tonight

Still peeved with the Oilers for not drafting Bjorkstrand who I had mocked to them at one point last year.

Nice (if somewhat sleepy) win by the boys. Should finish off the Tigers @ home on Saturday.

Portland looking like the WC Champion yet again. Definitely impressive how they've handled the powerful Rockets thus far- Brendan Burke (Sean's kid) has played well above expectations for them in goal.

Burke hasn't played the last 2.5 games. Corbin Boes has been in goal.

Hmmm. Was he injured?

He's been solid regardless though, particularly vs Victoria in round 2.

He got pulled in Game 3 and has not seen the ice since. Either way they should knock off the Rockets tonight.

Portland about to knock of the #1 ranked Kelowna Rockets in 5 games.

btw: The 50/50 could be a record high at the Oil Kings game on Saturday, the last two winning tickets were not cashed in so it carries over. I don't know what the pot is at.

Brett Pollock is going to be charging up the draft order. 2G 1A with the go-ahead goal late.

"And the Edmonton Oil Kings... Repeat Eastern Conference Champions!"

MacT will find a way to make Pollock an Oiler I think.

Also I'm gonna go with OKs in a shocking 6 games over Portland.

Yep, touching moment for sure. The Pelss story still gets to me.

So, Edmonton/Portland III. Winterhawks come in as the favourites, but I feel like our defensive group trumps theirs (particularly if Saunter is back), unlike last year. Jarry/Boes is a wash, and while Portland's scoring depth is obviously the class of the league, I also think that our heavy group of forwards can expose the Hawks' backend.

Should be a fun series!

Also, we really need more offense from Moroz. He had a solid opening two rounds, but had an extremely underwhelming ECF. With his size, he can be a handful to handle on the boards and in front of the net.

I think we can beat Portland. We're rested, focused and confident. By far playing our best hockey of the year.

Anyone here from Medicine Hat with an OKs jersey? I won a bet with one of your city council members and as a result of our series win she has to wear an Oil Kings jersey in a council meeting. I am planning on sending mine down to her, but if someone down there has one for her and wants the satisfaction of seeing her wear it in council, let me know otherwise my jersey will get sent down soon to her.
