Hungry for players with the newest injury, the Red Wings go fishing in the minors and come up with a beaten up boot.

I'd have rather recalled Himelfarb or Oulahen, both of them have wheels and are younger and haven't been given a look yet.

I dont mind this callup as much as some you. Hudler and Filppula should be the ones "getting looks" during this time. Give those two a ton of ice time right now, thats the best possible thing the Wings can do.

He has not won many fights at the NHL level, but he is willing to go. We'll see.

At least someone would be standing up when the checks get borderline.

Now all we need are for a few folks to stand up for when our lazy passes keep turning into odd man breaks for the opponents.

Well they both got 18mins last game, Hudler had more icetime than Lang and will be on Lang's line this game. This is Filppula and Hudler's time to show what they've got.

when it's our last line of defense that turns it over (Schneider...), makes it tough for anyone to get back in time to cover an odd-man rush.
it'll be nice to see someone willing to throw down to keep the Preds honest, even if he doesn't win the fight.

He looked the best out of the callups in this one IMO. Nothing special, but he worked hard and didn't screw up.

Would've liked to see him get Tootoo though.

The Wings played fine and had the lead, so he was not supposed to start anything, but had the Wings come out lame, then he would probably start a fight to get the team going.
