Yeah, we've got a pretty depleted roster down here. And two of our guys will be wearing suits up in New York tomorrow.

I came to the thread to ask how Jessiman is lookin tonight? I like to see this that's for sure!

I understand it's a blow out and the Pack's roster is depleted, how does Jessiman look? I think it's very important that he steps up and shows us that he's that top 10 pick we all expected him to be...

I watched them play the Phantoms the other night and man is he huge... I just pray that he comes around

Shots 30-19 in favor of the pack and we are down 4-0.

LaBarbera plays his best everytime he plays his old team.

You got that right Fly. Barbie's pretty motivated. Glad to see Jessiman mixing it up again. Going down fighting is nice to see.

Jackman and Tverdoski (sp) are on this team? they are all (former) nhl players, playing against all kids. Not to mention labarbera is like 26 or older now as well..

Wasn't he picked a couple picks before Korpikoski? There was a 3rd Finnish player too if I recall correctly. Or am I thinking of someone else?

Only saw the first period and a half but he along with Korpikoski were the best players for the Pack. Jessiman was always around the puck and seems to be using his body to his advantage, wish I saw the fight. Keeps up with the play, I thought from other posters that his lack of hockey sense was his biggest weakness but he doesnt look lost out there to me. Still needs to work on getting open and his shot didn't impress me.

Petteri Nokkelainen (sp) went to the islanders that year before Korpedo got selected @ 19th

You are correct, the other was Isles pick Petteri Nokelainen.

People always said Korpi was behind the other two in terms of potential, but Korpi is sure making a good case for himself this year.

Nokeliainen IMO is way behind both of them at this time.

Game is over BTW,

Dawes scored a shorthanded goal in the 3rd to prevent LaBarbera from a shutout.

Final 4-1.

I know it sucks to lose but regardless, it really doesn't matter a whole lot in the long run.

The good thing out of this is that guys like Jessiman (I am assuming) got a lot of ice time. Also, Korpedo continues to get time which is valuable. The injuries and call ups definitely hurt but we also get to see a guy like Graham who was doing very well wiht the CHeckers. All good things in my opinion.

I think the major thing is that based on what has been said, Hugh continues to do whatever it takes whether it is laying the body, getting in fights or whatever to make an impact in the game. As long as he keeps getting the minutes, the offense will continue to come too.

The three of them actually formed an awesome line at the U-18 WJC. Tukonen was the one reputed to have the highest upside, Nokelainen was the sure thing, and Korpikoski was the dark horse/wildcard.

Nokelainen probably has fallen behind the other two (though who knows what will happen in the future), because the poor guy has gotten nailed with knee injuries. Then again, he's the only one who's seen any significant time in the NHL yet.
