Im looking to put together/organize a round or two of golf for us hf'ers this summer if there is enough interest. I know it's early, but i'd rather find out now who's interested and who isn't so I can get a general idea of how many there would be. Since things are usually hectic on weekends, I'm looking at something around 430-500pm (after work). I'll take suggestions for courses to hit up (depends on location, and pineview will not be on the list :p). Personally, i've played at the Meadows a bit last summer and the fairways and greens are pretty good, plus you can play 9 or 18 depending on how much time you have or how fast you play.

So yeah...
It's a great idea Arob, but you may have to include a course like the Executive at Pineview though unless you can get enough experienced golfers together. The Meadows has some pretty long holes and casual golfers may find it too intimidating. Same with the Championship course at Pineview. There's a great in between course that me and some of my buddies go to in Kemptville called Rideau Glen. We like it because it's long enough to be challenging and short enough that we don't need a cart. Plus the price isn't bad at between $25.00 and $30.00, depending on the month, for 18 holes. There's also Tourraine on the Quebec side, not too far from the Casino. It's just a tad shorter than the Executive at Pineview.
It'd be neat to get everyone to wear their Sens jerseys too, though a little hot depending on what time of year it is.
I've seen enough Senators, in jersey or not, on a golf course to last a lifetime...
Hah. I dont believe in karma. Its a celebration of post-season success, where we can all gather, play a few holes, and enjoy some post-game brewskies.
The Kemptville course doesn't sound too bad, although the problem is distance, unless people want to play a round on the weekend. Thing is it would be nice (if we had more than 4-5 players) to get groups in a row, which can be very difficult on the weekend unless planned well in advance.

Considering the wind chill was -38 yesterday morning, I think you've started this thread enough in advance.

Very very true, however with graduation this year I'm stuck out east until May 16th, and I thought some preliminary planning would be good to gauge interest. And who says you can't play in the snow!
