I think it depends. Torts would be worth it for the media lulz. But I don't think we have the personnel to do what he wants.

This is how I see it.

If we blocked as many shots as the Rangers did, we'd have lost so many guys to injury that the Flyers would be scouring this forum for replacement skaters...

Back to the media though, they were interviewing Gill in the locker room, and some idiot was like (to paraphrase) "Do you want to play in Game 6 in order to redeem your play?"

What kind of stupid question is that? What do you think Hal is going to say?! "No I don't want to play. I want to crawl in a hole and die." Seriously... what a jackhole question. The guy probably feels bad enough as is, and then he has this putz ask him that dumb question. What kind of answer was he expecting? What kind of professional athlete doesn't want to compete when they have the chance?
It was John Clark from NBC10. Gill started laughing at him.

John Clark is literally the worst. I mean, worse than the usual media idiots. Going into football here, but I've never seen a guy who could go on TV and make Howard Eskin look like the sympathetic figure on set

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but my friend just posted this "fun fact" on facebook:
"When leading a playoff series 3-2, the Rangers have lost 11 straight games..."

So we got that going for us... which is nice.

That can't be right, I don't think. Maybe it is.

Rangers have lost 12 straight after a win in the playoffs, though

I'm switching back to Comcast or Xfininity, whatever, after 8 years partially because they're giving me HBO and Stars for free for the entire two yr contract. Another big reason is so I don't have to watch any more Flyers or Phillies games on TCN-SD.

They also doubled my internet speed to 105 Mbps!

I don't work for Comcast, I'm just tired of ****** Fios. Though I'm sure in a few months I'll be pissed at Comcast for something.

Lavy had his run and the team got progressively worse and were a horribly conditioned team. Dont know who the answer is dont think its Berube but he still has a chance to prove otherwise

For whatever reason they loved Pronger despite him always talking down to them & putting them in their places whenever they said something stupid.

We shouldn't have hired from within, but what's new with the Flyers?
Just a reminder- lavi was an outside perspective. We as fans jump the gun way to often. This fan base was moaning and groaning for Eakins last summer (would you want him now?)

Berube has a long way to go but so does this roster. The lack of team speed is killing us especially at the center position . Laughton and Ghost will be a big boost in that department.

First season as head coach and takes the team from a 1-7 start (Yes, 5 of those were his games) to third in the Metro. He's done a great job so far. I can't see the organization cutting him loose.

And Laviolette was fantastic for this franchise, don't you remember getting to the finals? He wore out his welcome, but so do almost all coaches.

I still would have liked to have given Eakins a try, you can't blame the failure in Edmonton entirely on him. That's systemic with that franchise, I'm not sure what coach could turn that team around.

Oh boy, the blood pressure would have been through the roof around these parts if that were the case. He was a major flop for a guy who was being touted as if he was the next Scotty Bowman.

First step is to get those kids to stop partying until 3am every night. When they decide they want to start winning.... they'll leave Edmonton.

Not entirely but he was still awful in his own right, dude was a major tool. From calling out the fans, to playing a former #1 pick who happens to be one of your most talented offensive players in the bottom six, benching your top player for an entire period in a game where you're getting blown out because he showed some emotion by slamming a water bottle that got you wet, etc. I'm sure there's more examples that I can't think of right now. It was a total gong show up there this year & in large part because of him.

They were always bad but they didn't get the type of publicity like they did this year with Eakins behind the bench. Plus Krueger had them playing hard every night & not being a total pushover when he was behind the bench so I'm not totally buying that it's not on Eakins.

Nobody wants to see other teams fans come into your teams GDT and rub it in. It's annoying. If they wouldn't do it if they lost the series they shouldn't do it if they win the series, it's just insincere and obnoxious.
