Ben Eager

Hi Yotes fans
Sorry if this has already been asked but can you help us, flyers fans, about Eager? He was taken high in the draft but what is his potential?
Does someone amongst you has ever seen him play??

Thx!

Read this post four or five posts down. Brad May or Dallas Drake clone. Great skater that plays a physical game and will drop the gloves. Known for taking bonehead penalties. Heart and soul guy that should play on a third line and be a very effective grinder.

Adam Deadmarsh is far too lofty. Offense will be his last asset.

people like to draw comparisons to guys like Brad May or other premier power forwards. However to put things in perspective, Brad May had 32 goals in 61 games in his draft year and 37 goals in 34 games the year after. Eager had 14 goals his draft year and a whopping 16 the year after. This year he may hit 25. Not overwhelming numbers for a first round pick. He has the potential to be a good depth player.

We should eventually start hearing about how powerforwards take time to develop. This is true. However, for every Shane Doan there is a Joe Hulbig. Even then most of these powerforwards who panned out put up better numbers in the CHL then what Eager has put up.
