I'm really impressed with the team's energy tonight (expecting a sluggish performance after such a long road trip).

Both teams have produced some quality scoring chances. Calgary dinged a beauty off the post earlier. I think Kiprusoff is a most excellent goalie, but he looks a little human tonight. Not like his normal superhuman self.

I'm really glad that Mason is playing tonight! He looks really good...
Vokoun will continue to get less rusty (hopefully) as the playoffs approach.

So, we hear that Nashville's looking for a veteran defenseman. You want Hamrlik? It looks as if he already thinks he's a Predator anyhow, so...

Question: After the Nashville crowd finishes with the "Goa-lie... Goa-lie... Goa-lie... YOU SUCK!" chant, some of them say something else, while most don't. What are they saying at the end of the chant? I've noticed it many times while watching the Preds at home.

That's my one big gripe tonight, and it really goes lately...but we're getting hemmed up in our end a lot, lately. You sense that they're trying so hard not to take a penalty that they're scared to play the body or even make the first move. It's almost like they reason, "if we wait for their pass or shot, and play off that, there's no way we can take a penalty," but the result is just as bad. We used to call this Mark Eaton syndrome, and now it's affected the whole team.

See why I like to see Vishnevski in the lineup? I hope this opens Trotz's eyes.

I am loving our lines tonight. We're playing really scrappy.

Of course it does help when you score two 5 on 3 goals, but nonetheless keep it up guys.

Great energy!

Please. bad calls both ways, but don't blame the refs for being behind in this. Be better than that, that's a cheap cop-out.

Zanon is playing a whale of a game defensively. He doesn't have the size, speed, or talent but he plays hard and sooooo smart.

Plus he sacrifices his body to incoming pucks all game long.

You're one of my three stars Zanon.

Well, we knew the Flames would resort to there thug tactics at some point. Regher punching Tootoo in the back of the head and throwing punches while his teammate Stuart hits him in the back.

Haha, Arnott sacrifices the chance for the hat trick because Stuart decided to be a puss and swing at Tootoo while he was engaging Regehr.

Lovely.

Cool to see that shot of Foppa, Sullivan and Hartnell waiting just inside the tunnel to high-five their teammates.

we wouldnt have won anyways but after the no call on zyuzin;s stick being held over top of his head made me throw my crackers across the room... i know some calls are going to be missed but how blind do you have to be to miss a stick being held (at the blade) over their heads?

The phantom elbow on Fiddler to start the game, the roughing call on Erat for taking a hit, Kariya getting whirled around BY the stick by Regehr in the second.

It was a pretty poorly reffed game, I'll agree to that...and this isn't aimed at you since you're not blaming anything on it...but Canucklehead was.

Can't blame the game on the refereeing. We can probably blame a lot of it on one of our defensemen forgetting his brain in St. Louis, though.

i think the erat penalty for roughing was mistaken identity... it was kariya that threw the punch
