I'm really impressed with the team's energy tonight (expecting a sluggish performance after such a long road trip).
Both teams have produced some quality scoring chances. Calgary dinged a beauty off the post earlier. I think Kiprusoff is a most excellent goalie, but he looks a little human tonight. Not like his normal superhuman self.

Question: After the Nashville crowd finishes with the "Goa-lie... Goa-lie... Goa-lie... YOU SUCK!" chant, some of them say something else, while most don't. What are they saying at the end of the chant? I've noticed it many times while watching the Preds at home.

That's my one big gripe tonight, and it really goes lately...but we're getting hemmed up in our end a lot, lately. You sense that they're trying so hard not to take a penalty that they're scared to play the body or even make the first move. It's almost like they reason, "if we wait for their pass or shot, and play off that, there's no way we can take a penalty," but the result is just as bad. We used to call this Mark Eaton syndrome, and now it's affected the whole team.
See why I like to see Vishnevski in the lineup? I hope this opens Trotz's eyes.

we wouldnt have won anyways but after the no call on zyuzin;s stick being held over top of his head made me throw my crackers across the room... i know some calls are going to be missed but how blind do you have to be to miss a stick being held (at the blade) over their heads?

Can't blame the game on the refereeing. We can probably blame a lot of it on one of our defensemen forgetting his brain in St. Louis, though.

i think the erat penalty for roughing was mistaken identity... it was kariya that threw the punch
