Everyone makes mistakes, we just keep making them over & over & over again.

so does he qualify for the long term exemption against the cap? just curious because its possible his presence may have hindered what we could have done on the trade deadline right?

The Rangers do not qualify for LTI on Ozolinsh because the Rangers aren't near or at the upper limit. The Rangers will end up spending around $42 million. They could have added salary at the deadline with or without Ozo on LTI.The Rangers could have spent up to the $44 million limit and placed Ozo on LTI.$44 million in salaries plus the $2.75 million for Ozo so the Rangers could have spent $46.75 million. The Devils placed Mogilny on LTI because they were at the limit and they used his $3.5 million on other players. The Rangers could have added $4-5 million in additional salary and placed Ozo on LTI but they didn't

gotcha, so LTI is only necessary when you need it for being at the upper bound of the cap. otherwise its a why bother type situation?

inferno, i really like you and respect you as a poster, you know that. but this "bozo" nickname is very disrespectful.
this guy has a serious problem, and people shouldnt make fun of it by giving names.
alcoholism is serious and shouldnt be something to make fun of, i witnessed it first hand and cant say its something to laugh about.

and yet the term "bozo" doesnt refer to him as an alcoholic, or anything like that.

I call him bozo because of his comical play with the puck. I started using it to refer to him after he put that own goal in last year...i think it was against the devils, but im not sure.
