sammy was awful tonight, giveaways left and right.
halak, love the kid, tons of potential, but hes 21 and hes showing his age
alex kovalev, honestly back to russia man just leave
carbonneau shaking his head on the bench as if hes shocked to see how bad we are, maybe you shoud look in the mirror carbs
bob gainey, great deadline moves man! that 5 year rebuilding plan is looking great with all of the great potential star forwards we have

Bob putting samsonov on waivers was more of gainey trying to escape the uselessness but also yea it was admitting the mistake of signing him.

but still guy much bigger dilemma

Look around the NHL, we're not the only team stuck with an expensive deadweight. Ever hear of a guy named Jose Theodore? And no GM has ever been completely infallible in their career, why anyone would expect as much from Gainey is a mystery to me.

The team Gainey put together for this year is, on paper, the best one we've seen in probably a decade. I think you're better off blaming the players and the coach for the way this season turned out than blaming the GM.

I didn't think Johnson played well, despite what his stats might say. he was ok.

the players are accountable for there on ice performance, no one else.

I just see a lack ot effort and determination and even pride with there on ice play. not everyone but most of the team.

No they're not, that's a totally ridiculous thing to say. Yeah, it's Bob Gainey's fault that Carbo doesn't have a 5-on-5 system or that Kovalev's only turned in 13 goals so far this year.

No, I am citing an example of Gainey (a) undoing a mistake he made while simultaneously citing an example of (b) a player who makes an atrocious amount of money while providing absolutely nothing to his team. See how I slipped two in at once like that? Cmon, you're a smart guy, you don't need me to explain all this to you. Congrats indeed.

Even if I agreed with that, it's been a dismal decade for the Habs. What they put on paper during that time was usually fairly crappy. So that doesn't say much

Not the right guy Julien not Vignault not THERRIEN.

Its not the coach its does heartless player.
There's been a substantial turnover of the personnel since Vigneault and Therrien (Ryder, Higgins, Kovalev, Plekanec, Perezhogin, Kostitsyn, Samsonov, Bonk, Johnson, Bégin, Lapierre, Latendresse, Komisarek, Streit, Dandenault, Gorges, Niinimaa, Huet, Aebischer, Halak), so it must be a new bunch of heartless players.

It looked to me like Komi went flying over and as he got there Kovalchuk backed off pretty quick (smart decision). I don't think he did anything wrong. He'd have gotten involved if Bouillon started losing limbs or something
