How about Barbashev over Fiala?

So since Meszaros isn't playing much for Boston I'm hoping Montreal knocks them out in the 2nd round and our 3rd rounder from them this year is closer to #80 overall than #90.

We all want to get a winger for Giroux but realistically that player won't be ready for top line minutes until 3 or 4 years down the road, especially with this draft. A couple players like Ritchie and Ehlers I think will be ready quicker but they won't be there at 17.

We need to acquire a elite sniper with Giroux and draft BPA.

I want no part of Evander Kane on this club. Unprofessional, immature, and way too much baggage. Let some other club deal with this head case. He might be talented, but he's shown he's a me first player.

I've also been watching a lot of video on Robby Fabri from Guelph and that kid is impressive. Great set of wheels, can play in all situations, is versatile (has played quite a bit of left wing for Guelph) and has a great set of hands. He's a little small, but so was Simon Gagne when they drafted him. That's kind of who Fabri reminds me of in terms of his play.

I would dangle Hartnell at the draft.

Has a very good shot and speed as well to go with it. I seriously wouldn't mind someone like him on Giroux's wing.

The Edmonton scout didn't seem to think he has much offensive upside, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing?

The Edmonton scout knows things? But really, he reminds me of a slightly more offensive and winger version of Laughton. Total gamer. Two way player and can be big in big games.

Someone posted a tier system of this draft . They had the top 5 guys in tier 1 the next 7 in tier 2 and then tier 3 which was 10 more guys. We will be able to get a guy in the middle of that 3rd tier which should be pretty nice. Sucks we are drafting behind a detroit and cbj.

Nikita Scherbak is a guy i am intrigued by. Has good size and skating ability is a lw and led his junior team in pts. His team sucked so I imagine if he had more talent his numbers would be better.

Yeah I saw a lot of Voracek like qualities from Scherbak during the CHL Prospect game.

I would happily take another Voracek, but I would really like to take a sniper in this draft.

We need to take the best player available. The probability of a picking a winger that will come in and play with Giroux from game one is slim especially with a pick outside of the top 10. Just pick the best player regardless of position, only let position be a tie breaker. If we want a sniper to play with Giroux we are going to have to get one in Free Agency or through trade if we want them to contribute immediately

Is he a LW? Because a Voracek-Giroux-Voracek line sounds fun.

Just had another fun thought, instead of Giroux being Batman, can he be Darth Vader? Then it'd be Vader flanked by two stormtroopers on each side.

Scherbak isn't necessarily a sniper but he has a good shot with a good release.

He lead his team in goals & points with 28 goals & 78 points. The kid who came in second had 16 goals & 40 points so yeah his team really sucked outside of him. They were the third worst team in the WHL this year.

Much like Voracek he shoots left handed but plays the right side.

When do you expect him to be drafted? Do we have a chance to get him?
