Dang, I'm at work, just went to check on some co-workers and I missed the goal (watching the game from comcast's online stream).

Rachunek the renaissance man!

I'm one of those people that looks at the intent. And the intent for Simon was to severely injure Hollweg. But whatever, we need to move on.

Great PK this period looks like. Hey, we're up 1-0 on the road. Good period imo.

Playing with Mara has really been a big help for Rachunek. Surprising.

1-0. NY is out shooting them, but the refs are slowing this down to a crawl. Nice hitting by Isbister.

Thats true. If you think about it, McSorely got ripped off because his intent was to give Brashear a love tap on the shoulder. But I guess Bettman was trying REALLY hard to make a statement then.

I was also going to say that it's a good sign to see US get a goal in the last minute of a period.

Prucha with 9pts in his last 11, not too shabby. BTW how did Orr do with Larouque (sp)?

It's funny too..because when Renney first started this Mara - Karel pairing I was *****ing and moaning about it..comparing it to Sather playing Leetch and Poti together. I can't believe how well it has worked out.

I agree. I didn't think it was a good pairing. But that pairing has really seemed to anchor the d.

The Mara move will turn out to be a steal I think. I've always liked him.

If Hossa can sustain his production as well, think it wouldn't be necessary to resign Shanny next season (assuming he will be healthy which is still in the air)?

George were in controll, but kind of chickened out. Held Orr down more then anything, got in a softie to the back of Orr's head.

I thought it to be a lateral move at the time, however Mara has really shown a blistering shot..and more importantly..the willingness to shoot.

I still would have liked to see them throw something else in to get Boyes, but oh well. They are playing the best hockey of the season, so we can't complain.

Orr lost balance too fast. Nevertheless, he would have still gotten a nice beating

Orr and laraque- Laraque threw more, but Laraque also had blood coming down on the elft side of his nose which Orr right upper cut hit him early on in the fight.

PS, per KuklasKorner, TSN has retracted the suspension statement and the NHL has denied any sentencing.
