another 2-0 lead going into the 3rd, lets hope we add one more goal and not give up one early.

Thanks. Need someone in front of the net to create space & pressure imo. Ibister would probably have to do it now. But Straka, Jagr & Nyles will not go there

Why is Straka out there on the first PP unit? It's blatantly obvious he just cannot shoot. It's almost silly.

I'm really happy to see we didn't come out flat after the home and home. Alot of times in the last few seasons, this team has done exactly that after a big win....especially after playing the Islanders

BEWARE O'Rourke here... we all know what he likes to do to us in the 3rd period. Rangers just gotta keep hustling and dont take unnecessary chances. Go Rangers!

NY has only allowed 14 shots through 2 periods. Nice goal by Cullen. NY has to kill off a pp to start the 3rd, and with a 2 goal lead, they can't afford a melt-down. Maybe the'll take some "out for blood" pills and finish these guys off.

Because even without his shooting, he's a pretty creative player.

The familiar refrain. The first few minutes of the 3rd should be telling.

I understand your thought process Pizza...but this seems to be a different Ranger team the past few games.

Put Cullen out there. He's got the same speed, same hands, and most importantly, he's a threat to shoot up on the point.

Instead we get pattycake between a gimpy Straka and Nylander until it gets coughed up.

Lundqvist have been great.

For most of the game Straka-Nylander-Jagr have completly taken out Crosby from the game. 4-4 and on their PP he have been awsome, but great work from the top line just hanging on to it 5 on 5 and letting them chase it, we will get chances.

Our PP needs to be genocided and build from scratch, how I don't know, but something needs to be done. Atleast it were looking "promising" at times earlier, now they aren't even getting the pointman open, Nylander aren't able to walk in with the puck, and Jagr aren't able to get any shots of.

I would put Jagr and Mara on the points, and Prucha-Nylander-Avery upfront.

Beg to differ.....not that Cullen is bad, but Straka is a much better puck handler, and he knows those linemates better

Penguins had a bunch of chances though. If they keep playing like this i can't help but see another disappointing game.
