D partner to pair with Doughty

Who is likely to be available that LA can pair with Doughty. Muzzin has been playing well, but i'd prefer he wasn't playing as many minutes. Several of our Dmen are potential ufas and wearing out. I'd be after a defensively responsible big minute eater that isn't ancient or a midget.

Fire away

Doughty is a right? Yes?

Ignoring ntcs and what ever rivalry the Kings and Canucks have...if Doughty is an apt set up man, Garrison would be perfect. We also have Edler who is better offensively, and physically, then Garrison, but is less defensively sound. Both are LHDs, and both are worse on their off side.

You can have Scuderi back, but just because we want to help.

Availability being a question mark, but if I were the Kings I'd be inquiring about Hamhuis or
Giordano. Those guys are the perfect compliment. Both those teams appear to be in a rebuild, both players are signed this year and next for around 4 mil. Price tag? Not sure, but it won't be cheap. Toffoli+1st gets the conversation started I imagine. Don't know if that's a price tag Kings would be OK with.

Will send Scuderi back cheap. I'd even retain some salary.

Edit, lol. 6 replies and 3 are about Scuderi.

The man you're looking for is named Christian Ehrhoff.

The deal however, would have to happen after July 1 as we would need to retain salary to soften the recapture blow.

Top 6 forward prospects and picks are needed

He is already playing in LA and his name is Muzzin. Kid is big plays with his body and is getting better and better every game. Sure he makes a few mistakes that's part of being a kid and learning on the job as a top pairing defenseman. Even with many fans yelling that "getting Drew a partner " is the biggies need , I would bet our GM is not thinking that at all more looking to fill the holes in the 2nd and 3rd pairings coming this off season.

Click hang up fast. There is now way the Kings will be trading Toffoli+ for anyone so anyone thinking so is dreaming. Have you watch the kids in the playoffs you simply don't trade young cheap talent like that. There is a cap and any smart team knows you have to have good ELC players to keep long term success. Dean is one of the best GM's in the league and once he got here the thinking of trading young talent for older players went out the window thankfully

I wouldn't hate either, but whats happened to Edler? Thats almost JMFJ +/- territory

AMac would have been perfect in my opinion, maybe take a crack at Marc Staal if the Rangers can't get a deal with him?

I doubt the Kings move top titty, he has shown he can fit with our team. Ideally i'd prefer to move greener prospects. Gio or Hamhuis would be a decent fit though.

Seidenberg or Boychuk maybe? I think one will have to go in the offseason

Probably a better chance of snow in LA tomorrow than getting McDonagh

LD is what LA needs, but I'd be shocked if it was Seidenberg the Bs moved. Boychuk to Calgary or Edmonton is my prediction.

If you send him to the Avs we'll convert EJ to the left side so Doughty can have a quality partner. We'll take good care of him I promise

I'd agree on both accounts

I was surprised when B's signed Seidenberg. Good player and all but I figured with the young core getting better and growing, and with Boychuk's great playoffs last year, he was the odd man out

I really don't want to lose Boychuk. Guy is awesome

Just figured I'd throw it out there since it seems difficult to keep both right now

Yeah Boychuk's one of the few I tolerate on Boston haha. Would be a good fit on either of those teams I think and being an Edmonton boy he might be happy to go out that way.

Muzzin!!! He just learned how to draw penalties by skating his head into people elbows!!! This will be huge next season!

And he's cheap!
Did I mention he's really cheap?

I don't mind Muzzin, he has impressed me with his recent play, i'd just like another option, Mitchell and Green are ufas, Regehr is getting older too. It makes sense to get a player capable of playing big minutes with Doughty, so that we have a bit more versatility on defense. Whether that player plays with Doughty or Voynov doesn't matter, but i'd rather we paid more to get a player that can play big minutes if needed. Look what happened to the Sharks after Vlasic got injured, they ran out of options.

Poor old Scuderi, has he really been that bad? I'd have him back if we could afford him, in a sheltered role.
