I think a lot of the "kinks" in his game are stuff that should be ironed out in the minors, not stuff you learn from in the majors. certain things you can only learn in the pros, i get that, but Dubinsky still has a lot of work to get to the point where the minors dont help him at all.
I still think he was one of the better forwards in this game. Hes strong along the boards, he makes things happen in the offensive zone. And he looks good on draws.

I understand what you are saying. But, you are completely ignoring the fact that he had the shot lined up. He played it correctly. That puck isn't tipped by Malik and you and I aren't even discussing this. Bottom line, you don't tip the damn puck on a friggin wrist shot from the circle. Armstrong is not stinking Bobby Hull or Andy Bathgate with his wrist shot.

Rozsival peels away from Armstring instead of going right at him. Its 4 v 4, man to man. It doesn't get any simpler than that. Too much finesse on the ice at one time against the pens in OT.

Meh. Either way, I think it's a decent point to get. Tomorrow's game is huge. I think Jags is done for a while.

Roszival and Malik worked extremely hard all night and should get a ton of credit IMO, after that kind of work you can even afford a gaffe like that on the end.

With about 10 to go Pittsburgh had knocked us the reff were on 9 and gooing on 10 when we climbed back and fought us into OT.

So I am very pleased with the effort and the point. Jagr now must get back for tomorrow. Without him we are screwed big time. Everyones play will drop if we can't push the other team back regulary with atleast one line.
Ola you can't be serious......Rozsival looked terrible out there EVRY single time they put ANY pressure on him.....and Malik wasn't doing much more than gliding in the defensive zone today!

So who's gonna score now without Jagr, Shanny, Hossa, and Straka playing with one arm?

We worked extremely hard all night and got some heroic efforts from allot of players. At the end 4 of our guys were caught and ran out of gas.

For me its tough to loose, but at times even tougher to come on here and see all the complaining on the team after a heroic work effort.

IF (IF) he is out, Callahan has to be called up. We need deep scoring through the line-up.

It's not the players fault. It's the coaching that is bad, Mara should be on the pp instead of either Rozsival or Straka....they can't shoot the puck when for some reason, so that's a coaching problem.

Is that official that he's been recalled?

Tough loss, but not a disaster, just a missed opportunity. They still come away with a point on the road against a playoff team. Looking at the schedule, I'm sure people would have put this one in the loss column. The important game is still Carolina at home tomorrow.

The biggest problem for this team remains the lack of scoring. When was the last time they scored more than three goals...the Montreal game?

I also do not understand pointing a forward who can't shoot right now at the point on the PP, and then having his fellow players try to feed him? And, please remove Rozsival from the PP altogether. That 1st unit continues to look awful...one goal when they're up 2-0, and I doubt the Pens are coming back.

Eh, let's hope for better tomorrow.

Did Dubinsky not play the last two games? Get PP minutes and important minutes? After two Islander games the team and organization is heading in the right direction and after an OT loss where we lose our captain, we are in the crapper? Please.

I am of the exact opposite opinon.

Roszival played extremely well all night. We had to controll the puck and get it in their end to even have a remote chance. I thought Roszival played really well under pressure, didn't give the puck away, but fended off forecheckers and got us gooing the other way.

Without him we loose this game 7-8 to zero, thanks to him we owned the game for two periods.

but his presence is definitely missed badly. w/o Hossa and the rest of the guys, who is there to control the puck along the boards? seriously? Nylander is a good puck control guy, but the closer to the boards he gets, the worse he gets. Jagr and Isbister are probably our 2 best puck control on the boards guys and Jagr didnt even play the 3rd.

The injuries are frustrating me more than anything else. I get why we lost, people sometimes dont give credit to the other team. The Pens smelled blood and went for the jugular, thats what good teams do. They have speed, skill, size, strength. They are a legitimate playoff team. When you take away like a third of our regular roster. Im not sure how many teams can survive that kind of a barrage of injuries.

What does any of that have to do with calling up Callahan?
