so a bunch of bit pieces and Pulock for a guy who is 1 year removed from winning the Norris trophy?

I am not the hugest Subban fan but I am guessing if they were going to trade him

1. he would be asking for to much money(which would be an even bigger issue for us)

2. they would want less smaller pieces(2nd + 3rd round picks) and a 3-4 good pieces

Thing I don't get is why wouldn't our 35th pick this year be included? If we not including the 5th overall why is the 35th pick so untouchable?

Too much quantity not enough quality.

Canucks could offer way more.

I'd imagine Habs fans wanting Okposo, Strome, '14 + '16 1st, Hamonic etc. kind of overpayment for their franchise defenseman

Does not even come within the realm of Subban. There is nothing to work with here. The bidding starts at Reinhart + Strome+

So do you think you could do that too ?

To NYI : Briere, Leblanc, Bouillon, Murray, 3 2nd, 1 3rd, 2016 1st

To MTL : Tavares

No, because it's illogical, right ?

just... just terrible. Not even close to fair value. Subban isn't a player you trade anyways.

Now I'm wondering if there's a limit to the amount of draft picks you can include in a trade.

Would the NHL allow a star player to be traded for the other teams next 100 7th round picks? Or would Bettman step in and void the deal? What would the value of 100 7th round picks be anyway?

Also

2 2nds (not 35), 3 3rds : We have plenty of depth in our prospects., thanks

Pulock : at most a top4 D, which we will get from our current prospect in the same time frame.

Grabner : off 2nd-3rd liner. We may need if Gionta and Vanek leaves but easily acquirable in UFA.

Visnovsky : Markov, enough said.

Nielsen: Plekanec, enough said.

1st 2016: past our window and will probably be 16-30.

Probably voided because it's stupid.

We should throw in Bailey, Pelech, Collberg and our next 37 4th round picks and see if we can entice them to throw in Carey Price.

You would have to sign him to an offersheet that would cost 4 1st rounders, and they likely match. So, start there.

First, as an isles fan, that offer was terrible. Any legit offer starts with the 5th overall and a top prospect and builds from there.

Second, they aren't trading subban. They will sign him. It may take until the season starts, but they will sign him.

Btw, love how you clarified not the 35th overall. Cause you wouldn't want to give up an early second to get a young Norris winner.

That was my favourite part too. Subban was an early second, so OP is probably looking for a second Norris winner there
