Go Denmark. Just because Lauridsen is a big doof.

Too bad the US filled their defense fairly quickly before an offer could be extended to Gostisbehere. He could have been the 5th defensemen for them that played for the 2013 WJC Gold Medal team (Jones, Trouba, Murphy, & McCabe).

Will be fun to watch the young American stars, especially Johnny Gaudreau.

Surprised Giroux isn't going. Oh wait, is he even good enough?

Voracek as well....

I'm curious to see how Peter Mueller with the US plays. He had a good year in the NLA (1st in goals & top 3 in points) & is apparently looking to catch on with an NHL team again, good player but just got hit hard with injuries.

The Flyers wouldn't let any of their stars play in this.

Might this be the reason why Streit declined the invitation from the Swiss team? I don´t know the Flyers front office too well...

Streit is probably just exhausted. He played in every Flyers game averaging 20+ minutes plus the Olympics.

Yeah, Canada asked for Giroux and the Flyers said no, never even got to Giroux.

I'm sure Flyers just played the role of the bad guy on G s part. G probably didn't want to go anyway, but now his hands stay clean. And Flyers are protecting their 8 mill asset.

Is Brayden Schenn really confirmed for team Canada? I haven't seen anything official.

That's not true. It was pretty obvious that Giroux will not join the team Canada but Voracek wanted to go but he's injured.

Shouldn't have let him go, if he have a good tournament could see his agent using it as leverage.

is Gus playing today?

It could also increase his trade value.

No it won't.

I don't think games start until the 9th unless I'm missing something.

i just wanted to check today schedule and i noticed that Russia is playing vs Sweden right now, Ovi,Semin,Burmistrov,Kuznetsov,Ekhlom,Nilsson are all playing so it must be a pre-tournament game .

Canada has a game on the 6th I believe. Think it's a pre-tournament game.

It's the final tournament of the Euro Hockey Tour.
