What a hard working shift by Avery. Great to see that kind of effort/determination.

ARGH I thought my PC would auto adjust to Daylight Savings Time. I guess I didn't have the update or something, because it still says 12:00 PM right now. I just started watching the game now.

I'm not sure if I should root for the Rangers to score next or not.

Rangers are in BIG trouble if they continue to play like this. they are playing right into the hands of the Canes, this run n gun style is what the canes thrive on. We CANT afford to play that way, we just dont have the offensive talent to do that. Rangers need to slow things down, and play way more of a puck posession game.

Its hard not to love Girardi right now... Just seems like one of those guys who never messes up. They keep getting him to take the body more and more and he'll be more than fine.

Like Avery and some of the things he does out there but hte last couple games he hasnt been very good with the puck imo. A couple bad turnovers.

I think Renney is being real smart here. Rolling each of the lines and not using Jagr a ton outside of the power play.

Maybe Carolina should score twice in the 2nd, then have the Rangers come back from behind in the 3rd... No 2-goal lead to blow there.

How about everyones favorite..... Marek Malik. I think it is the first time the MSG idiots cheered for the poor guy the entire year. I feel sorry for him.

Guess Renney is realizing his mistake with ice time management. Dubi is still adjusting..it'll take time for him to make any significant impact, but he seems to be a pretty responsible player.

Quote of the day so far for me was Ray Ferraro:

"Jaromir Jagr is finicky with his health"

What exactly is Ray trying to say or infer there?

he also had a BRUTAL turnover early in the period that led to a quality scoring chance. The guy is what he is. a 3rd pairing defenseman, playing as a first pairing defenseman. You get what you get.

Missed the 1st period, but Malik with his 1st of the season is impressive. Let's see if they can play 40 more minutes of hockey

Rangers managed to out-Carolina, Carolina. I just dont think they can afford to play the Canes game w/ their depleted roster. if we had a healthy lineup, i think we might be able to trade chances with them because of who our goalie is. But the team the way it is now, just cant continue to play that way.
