Voracek as well....
Voracek cant spell intense and also, as somebody already pointed out, he wanted to join the team but didnt get through the medical

Slightly OT, but the Finns need Kimmo to teach them how to change - thats what happened today Starring Terravainen, Komarov and an unknown soldier

Didn't realize Eriksson was in net.

Who's starting for Sweden.

Also, Gus wasn't listed on the roster. Is he not over there yet since theses are still the preliminary games?

I think that the coach will give one game each to Eriksson and Nilsson, but my guess is that Nilsson is the starter.

Final cuts where made today so probably Mårts wanted to give the players one last game to showcase themselves. I don't know where Gus is, warming a seat in the press box perhaps.

He wasn't even listed as the extra skater. After his performance there last yr I can't imagine he doesn't play again this yr.

Yeah, this was the last chance for the SHL D-men to earn a spot. Gus will most certainly be in the top 4.

He was at least there last year. I honestly can't remember off the top of my head the last time a star player from Canada or the US played in back to back years.

I don't think the pride is there for this tournament from the North Americans like it is for the Euro's. I think a lot of them value the time off over playing in this & I'm sure the teams don't like to risk having their established players possibly getting hurt there.

I like watching the tournament for the young guys & the guys who normally wouldn't be in this position under normal circumstances but in the end the results don't really mean much to me.

He's only missed the tournament one time since 2004 & that was 2009. He's pretty much a fixture at this tournament & doubt there's a star player in the league that can match that.

Hextall is the assistant GM of Team Canada so I'm not sure if I really buy the Flyers not allowing Giroux to go as a form of payback for the Olympics.

They probably just want to be 100% sure he's healthy and make sure he doesn't get injured. They know if we lose him for any amount of time we have no chance.

Kovar is our backup so he will probably get to start against some low end team. He got humiliated on Saturday by the Russians in aa 0:6 defeat (the 1st period being 0:4). The whole team didnt help him at all though.

Well, last time Giroux spent the offseason on the golf course it backfired in the worst way and the team went 1 - 7 to start the season

Makes sense, probably won't do much there so no need to risk getting hurt before the draft.
