Their worst game of the entire playoffs when they needed their best. Absolutely typical Rangers.

I agree with Roenick.

The third period started, and look at the bench. They were down one goal, and the team already gave up.

No mental fortitude. No passion. No heart.

How can a team give up down one goal with 20 minutes left? You could see it in their expressions. The team was already defeated.

In contrast, Columbus was able to come back from 3-1, and 3-0 deficits. They didn't give up. When they were losing 4-0, they took the game to 4-3.

Where is that for us? Where is the LEADERSHIP?

One thing is very clear to me...the referees have had little to do to the hole we are in. Pittsburgh has simply been the better team.

Sigh...

Bird Law, for what it's worth, I agree with you. I would never boo an individual player. I would boo the team though, if the effort wasn't there. Not just because they're losing, but because they're not working.

I wonder if Richards is okay after that hit he took. Not that anyone was really good tonight, but it's like his name wasn't even mentioned. Better be healthy going into the summer for the buy out.

We have super power on par with any other team in the playoffs but the difference is those teams have heart, grit, perseverance. And when they get knocked out or lose they do it valiantly. This team outside of Lundqvist has shown zero redeemable qualities this series.

**** JR and Milbury.

NBC got what they wanted.
NBC doesn't set the schedule. They set the time.

The schedule is set by the NHL and the arenas have to be available for a reasonable schedule to be worked out.

All of mine is back in VA (in Jersey currently).

I have so much to drink there and nothing here.

Sad, pathetic state of affairs this NYR team is year after year. Let's keep giving away more first round picks for aging all-star players though. It's worked in the past hasn't it?

Agreed. How they can come out in such a big game and put on that performance is just sickening. I saw one shift all night where they looked like they were playing a playoff game, and not surprisingly it was probably the best shift of the game.

It's absolute horse**** that the Rangers and to a lesser extent, Pittsburgh got *** ****** by NBC.

Luckily the Rangers took the last 3 games off, so they should be well rested.

This is 100% true. Zero intensity. Zero.

And so help me if I see one post bashing Lundqvist...

I haven't seen a Nash post game interview on the Rangers site since this series started....is he avoiding the media or is it just that he shows zero emotion and no one wants to interview the Scrub !!

Was this game their worst? They were awful but they were awful in game 6 against the Flyers and game 2 of this series. No heart and a small team is not built to win in the playoffs.

After much thought, I would have to say the Penguins most definitely did win this game. Sure, the Rangers did screw up a lot, but the Penguins were on top of them a lot of it. There was that hopeful stretch after the tying goal, but it ended badly on the powerplay, of all things.

Not only did that particular powerplay not get us a goal, but it also showed that same lazy, careless puck handling that once again resulted in a goal against.

This is NOT the game to defend Hank. He played like **** tonight. If he plays tonight like he did in Game 2, we're most likely 2-2 in the series or in OT right now. He let in 3 horrible goals.

Regardless if that puck hit Staal, Lundqvist was not prepared. He fell back in the net. He should have been ready. Our team is built in such a way that we need him to make those amazing saves, and steal games, and if he doesn't, then it's not enough for us to advance. That's just the simple truth of it.

This is what I've been saying, their compete level has been an abomination whenever they trail in the 3rd.

Was it the shift in the first where the Brassard line came out and threw their weight around? Only time all night I remembered. Pretty sad that line is the only one with intensity.

Well considering how poorly we played in the first couple of months of the season, I'd have to say it's been exciting at least to get to watch the Rangers get this far..

And that is the ****ing travesty here because the Penguins are not a elite team, especially this year. They were ripe for the picking...We just couldnt capitalize on their Powerplays and we were incredibly bad and our star players vanished
